And I know it! but we are just kids, still children! The immaturity is just being shown more because its easier to get out... Were the 16 year olds immature in 1980? or 1990? Yeah! But they couldn't post to the whole world whatever they want any time... Nor could they make stupid comments "spld liek tihz" about everything. Its a new age...

I don't think its that there is an increase of these parties is happening. Its just now, one of any people at the party can easily post pictures or tell others about the party freely on the internet. Now what used to just be gossip and conversations at the lunch table, can be seen by anyone...

Some of the immaturity comes from the parents too! If your going away for the weekend, send the 16 year old kid to granny's! If a 16 year old has a chance to earn + rep with their friends by having a party, they will! A possible chance to score with some jaibait, and release some trapped up teenage hormonal feelings? Fuck yeah!
But usually, the wrong people will show up and than starts the disasters!

As for the book smarts, I'm gonna have to say the school on that one... They are more concerned about following a textbook curriculum, than getting to each student and explaining life out. I could tell you anything about a computer, but will I know how to avoid a situation with a crazy bum? No. No one has ever taught me how. (nothing a google can't fix though... )

As for the emos... They are just expressing themselves... I am not emo myself, but I have some friends who are... Remember the hippies? they expressed themselves by being different!
