Providing that they are both on the title, it means the mortgage is based on combined incomes.
So for 2 people to buy a house its not as hard as a single person

The Housing market is a lot lower here than in LA which helped us out. Yeah both eric and I are on the mortgage but I barely make enough to support my self b/c of school. We were able to afford it becuase Eric got a significant raise at work and he had been saving his money since he was like 17. Although I'm on the paper work its really erics house becaue without him I wouldn't be able to buy/pay for/keep the house.

Even at $300k its a hell of a price because in S Fla you couldnt touch a house that massive under a million...real talk. The market is lower now so make mid $600k - $750K
They sell half a duplexes down here for $189k - $300k depending on area.
