    fire fire

While I was at the show,I had the system pumping pretty good when all of a sudden everyone started yelling fire, fire, there was smoke billing from under hood and this is what I found, apparently I was pumping a little to hard and fried this 180 amp fuse and holder and some of my 4g power wire,it I turned the bass up to the max as well as the subs,I usually dont do that unless I'm burping in a comp or testing.I guess it couldnt handle that load for that long.luckily there was some stereo venders at the show and I replaced it with a 250amp fuse and block,

I wonder if you'd gotten some moisture in there, causing corrosion. The fuse should have popped before the draw caused that much thermal damage, whereas corrossion would have caused heat without popping the fuse.

    Congrats on the win, btw!

That melted because it had a loose connection.. The loose connection cause that area to heat up.. Thus melting the fuse/holder.. Notice how it is pretty much contained to one side of the holder.. that set screw was loose or was just a bad connection... At some point does common sense ever come into your mind when you were upping the fuse size and keeping the current sized wire... Guess not.
