H1N1 Hits Home

So turns out my little sister has the H1N1 (swine flu) Virus...

I got kicked out of school for today and tomorrow, I got called to the office and when I came back they evacuated my networking classroom and went on a cleaning frenzy.

I dont feel sick at all, but I guess I'll have to wait and see.

All I ask for is your prayers for her and our family...

My Stepmom took her to the hospital today where they diagnosed her and told my stepmom to take me out of school

one of the guys i work with has a daughter that was diagnosed with H1N1. He seems fine though. Hope i don't catch it from him though because of the medications i take, my immune system isn't the very best.

practice good hygiene, wash your hands, take a shower in tne morning and at the end of the day.

i just got 2 jabs this morning, for high fever, and another one for pneumonia (just in case)

so now im home-quarantined for 48 hours until my symptoms go away.

it's no different from the regular flu. The media has the h1n1 craze in overdrive :P they'll be fine.

Yeah, it's really not that big of a deal with proper medical attention. Most of the fatalities (and there have been very few, honestly) have been in areas where people didn't have access to proper care.

also here in dallas there have been 9 deaths of the swine not because there was no proper medical attention but for underlying health conditions, it was just too late, well thats what the media announced.

i got the flu two weeks ago. not sure if it was swine flu. but i got better in about 4-5 days. i took vitamin C everyday drank lots of fluids and i was better.

Do you have any idea how many people die from the normal flu each year??? Just because it's not in the news.....People only know about what they are told.

x fucking 2. normal flu kills hundreds, if not thousands, of people around the world each year. this is just a slightly different strain that killed a bunch of people all at once in mexico so the media is blowing it WAY THE FUCK out of proportion.

unless you get really unlucky and/or had a weak immune system already, you will be fine. wash your hands, stay away from bums, dont rub your eyes after you take a shit, etc.
