New PS Rack time...taking a poll on which options

This past friday when I had a final in the morning, I got in my car ready to go, started it, and this horrible moaning sound was immediately noticeable. I figured, its just b/c of the cold so i drove on it for a bit (1 block) Came to realize that it was my PS pump making it from being low on fluid. Checked res. and it was frothy.

So i drove back home and what do you know, I've got a big puddle on my Driveway. It was leaking from the D/S bellow.

Now I've got a couple options:

    1. HONDA OEM Reman - $400 including me giving my spare core. 3yr/36k warranty
    2. NAPA Reman - $202 including core - limited lifetime warranty
    3. Autozone Reman - $189 - including core - limited lifetime warranty

Which one would you replace it with? I'm sorta going for the NAPA one since I hear they have good reman parts, well generally axles and stuff.

I dont know but I would like to be tehre when you switch them out!

But seriously. I have heard great things about NAPA. I swear by them but luckily I have never had axle problems. ::knock on wood::

Are you still driving your baby?

yeah i'm still driving on that rack. Weird thing is. It leaked like a MOTHER when I first started it in the morning that day, but nothing else after that, even today. I kinda think it might've got frozen or something lol. It was like 32*F that night, pretty cold in AZ in the valley. I haven't heard that groaning noise since then either. But I don't want to risk it and I know it'll prob. happen again really soon. Good thing I've got a break coming up so i can fix it.

yeah I was gonna follow I think his name is Arrozburner? he did a DIY on it. But I'm pretty familiar with how to do it b/c i sorta helped my swap guy put this one I have in my car. I stupidly put a used OEM one in last time, back in Nov 08' instead of a new one like I should have. Now its leaking again.

I'll just set aside a day and do it. Shouldn't be that hard. I know the steering column is going to have to come undone from it somehow, I think that U joint in there.

Why not just get one from a junkyard. Its not a part that normally breaks so you wont have any trouble finding a working one.

well I've got the money now, I just got an unexpected bonus at work so that'll easily cover it. But I just don't want to spend double on a Honda one if I don't need to. Not to mention, how hard would it be to take one off a JY car thats supported on steelies lol.

why not just buy the parts to fix the leak? seal kits are avaliable for these

I did not take into consideration removing it from the car lol. Most junk yards around me arent pick and pulls so im used to just getting the part handed to me.

That actually was my first thought when I walked in the Honda dealer asking on a quote. But the parts guy said they're not available? He said I'd need to piece together each and every seal separately.

Unless are you talking about an a company that makes an aftermarket kit?
