EK-can often be used to refer to a 96-00 Civic.
EG- same, but 92-95 Civics. Sedans got the EG identification.
CF- Carbon Fiber? Or do you EF? 88-91 Civic.
it comes from the VIN number. with hondas, the 1st 3 digits tell you the manufacturing location and the 4th,5th, and 6th digit tell you the chassis code (which usually tells you what the car's body type is and the family the car is in).
here are some examples:
1HGCB7xxxxxxx means that it is a USDM 90-93 accord sedan or coupe built in ohio.
1HGCB9xxxxxxx would mean that it is a 90-93 wagon built in ohio.
JHPCB7xxxxxxx would be a USDM 90-93 accord sedan or coupe built in japan
now i dont know if wagons were only built in japan or anything like that, those are just some quick-and-dirty examples to give you an idea of what i mean.
