my friends and I went out to eat at this one buffet. The waiter gave us our tab and we gave it back to him with the cash just to pay for the food. Like most people, we leave our tip on the table right before we leave. BUT this particular waiter counted the money infront of us and said "you didnt leave a tip!" we were like wtf? It was pretty rude of him to do that to us. His 15% tip became 5%.

dont delay the bad tippers, just if you have a double or triple run, they are on the back burner, but the idea is to get back to the store before the next driver so your up next, more runs that way...

since i started this job at this pizza place, i have calculated my average per hour, thats tips and wages($5 an hour), around $9.50, although on a couple occasions, i averaged $11 an hour....

              my question is....

How Much You Make An Hour?

to the ones that think we are only doing our job...

              is this my dream job?
              lol
              hell no
but it is a job for now
in the economy where i am
just lucky to have a job

just started this post cuz i had a bad daY with tippers, very few deliveries...lol
and just wanted to hear what ppl think

I tip well. It's common courtesy. It's simple.

And delivering pizzas is definitely not something you want to do for a living.
care to explain why it is not a good job for someone that is young to make a living.
i have been doing it for over 3 years now have a house(paying off mortgage) a few very reliable cars steady income every two weeks and money every day i work.

It's not a career... but there are certainly worse jobs out there. I have a friend that delivers, as does his wife. They're supporting two kids in their own apartment with it.

Not livin the fancy life, but they're putting food in their kids' mouths, and a roof over their heads. I'd say that's a living.

exactly i was going to say something about it not being a career but i thought it was already kind of obvious(no benefits, sick days, vacations, retirement, salary) but it is a perfectly fine job especially when nobody is hiring

Food, especially fast food, still remains a VERY secure business... even when times are tough!

I've delivered for about 6 different places over the last 15 yrs and have never gotten a gas reimbursement. Averaging 7 deliveries/hr is unheard of around here maybe 2 ...3 on a busy night. Women in general are the worst tippers, The husband will say "the tips on the counter honey", she counts it pockets most and gives the other $1 or so to me lol. I had a guy not long ago order a pizza with a total about $23 paid with a fifty, I was short $1.80 on his change and he gave me hell about it, even if it was a 20 mile round trip...he's "out of our range" now. Actually came in and harrassed me about the $2 a week later, unbelievable. There are good nights and bad nights, it just seems like alot more bad nights lately. I tip $5 everytime i have food delivered. later

Wow, that guy sounds like a tool.

Hey, anyway to make an honest living I always say. Delivery doesn't pay too bad where I'm from, a buddy of mine makes the equivalent of $15 an hour doing it.
