I Found An S2000!!!!!!

Holy crap!
Me and some buddys were hiking around this back road thats pretty windy,
were a good 80 feet down the hill from the road a pretty steep hill, think straight down, in a tree-thick area.
I saw what appeared to be a tail light reflector with my flashlight, so we go to look....
Its a blue S2000!!!!

Kind of stripped, interior is blue and is pretty thrashed from the top being down.
Only thing I see thats good, is the passengers airbag, the sunvisors, the area behind the seats.
Dash is cracked up.
Missing some interior parts, no rims, top is cut up.
The registration expired in 2007
The passengers tailight is perfect, as is the door mirror, and headlight!
The drivers side is pretty nasty, headlight missing

The best part...
Under the hood is...almost complete!
Valve cover is gone, as is the intake tube.
Other than the 2 aboved mentioned, it is untouched in the enginebay!
Complete rear end, brakes and all!
E-brake is there, shift boot and knob gone...stick-shift...shifts

HID system can be seen!
It was dark, we looked it over pretty quick, but im sooooo excited!
Im waking up bright and early with tools and bags!
Ill take pictures for you guys too!


First I find an OEM flushy, now I find an S2000 my luck is good!
Ive got the itches for a RWD CB7

People take this road way too lightly...its pretty much sitting down from a corner thats notorious for drifting.
The local police know its down there, it has a large X painted on the door, which means the local police know when they see it that its already been processed.
Its sad, it still shines!
It stopped right on a big rock

It will most likely never get out of there too, its way to far from the road to get hooked out.

Agreed - Especially since the OP even said the police know about the car.
Any and all parts can be traced back to that car (usually with the exception of panels), There are ways to get around it, But I don't condone those sorts of activities.

you're right... i'm totally incapable of going to buy a can of red paint and painting an X in order to make the cops think that it's been processed if they ever come across it.

Let's be serious... why would the cops just paint an X on the car and not remove it? For one as it stands it's a danger to the environment. It could and eventually will start leaking fluids. And, for two why wouldn't they just "impound it" attempt to find the real owners and then if they don't come forward scrap it?

I've just never heard of anything like this.

this...in your state thats is gonna be a felony b/c its valued over 500usd and its a vehicle. if you get caught you will get charged with receiving stolen property.
