    Should I???????

Some guy wants to trade me a 2004 Suzuki GSXR 1000 for my Talon. It has 18k miles on the bike. I have a motorcycle license and was actually talking to my friend about getting a bike and coincidence, this guy got in contact with me asking if I'd trade.

    Is it worth it?

sounds good but i dont think anyoneis going to go for it since now that times are hard though . Hey you never know just when you get the bike they arent cheap to fix either. And ride safely cause nowadays people dont know how to drive and your gonna need all the impact protection you can get . Especially dumb bird, brain broads on the move with their cars all scraped up lol.

around here that bike goes for $6000-$6500 so if u think ur cars worth less then that, i guess its a good deal. i personally think u should keep the car, those bike r all over the place and arent going anywhere. isnt ur car kinda rare and sought after? of course if u were planning on getting rid of the car anyway, then consider the trade.

From the sounds of it, you're in no position to have a project car at the moment... so I say trade. If necessary, it'll be easier to unload the bike if it's in good shape than it will be to unload a car that needs work. In the meantime, the bike will be cheaper to insure and operate. Just be safe!

I'd LOVE a bike, but I don't really live in a good area for it... (and I'm a beginner, so that's even worse!)

Still better than a DSM that needs work, I'd think.

O defiantly... A dsm that needs work is worth next to nothing... Just take a stroll around a junkyard... Id defiantly do the trade... I was just questioning the value... Even though its worth 2-3 times the talon.

The parts in the Talon are probably worth a good amount... but the car as a whole is only worth something to someone looking for a project. This bike is worth more than any cash offer that's going to come along, I'm sure!

yeah in S. FL bikes dont go for much less then 4-5k regardless. my brother has an 00 gsxr 1000 that he can still get 5k for.

I am still contemplating it, I may or may not...the bike is worth about $3.5-$4k here I found out. I went to the shop yesterday and the guy hadnt started on my car yet...I told him I want to tow it back home and he was going to push the car outside the shop but he was literally about to start on it when I got there so I told him to just do it. I said if it isnt done by Monday then I am going to take my shit home and just do the job myself.

But once the clutch is done, I am not trading/selling unless it is for a high dollar amount.
