I turned it off as soon as I heard it knocking... BAD.. Definitely lesson learned. It wasnt on but 4 seconds and it managed to shove all the oil out onto the floorOriginally posted by bcjammerx View Postfunny...I usually check all around my car after a startup...even after just an oil change...i always make sure no leaks.
Lesson learned though...do you have any rod knocks?

I've done that, Even worse is when you leave the balance shaft pin in after doing a cambelt and wondering why it won't crank.Originally posted by wed3k View Posthow about leaving the ratchet on the crank after doing a valve adjustment?
I've also left the filter off a couple of times, makes a mess on the floor, its a big area of oil when its only spread 2 mm thick
Even left the oil cap off once or twice - Now that makes a mess of the engine bay.
Mistakes happen - It's how we learn
Car Safety / General Servicing Checks --------Basic suspension checks

A "Finished" project car is never finished until its been sold.
If at first you don't succeed, Try again. Don't give up too easily, persistance pays off in the end.

I once pulled my filter off and didn't notice the old shitty gasket stayed behind. Put the new filter on, filled her up with oil, and rolled out of the shop. With a trail of oil following.
Wont ever do that again.Bought From: Slammed4thGenOriginally posted by chessboxerWe know these are good cars, but for some reason, all the world wants are freaking civics and tegs. Bleck.
