I JUST beat all four episodes of Duke Nukem 3D (with the High Res pack)! Was playing all week after work.

I had Duke Nukem 3D for Playstation. I think it was my first PS game. I never really cared for FPS games, but that held my attention. I never did beat it, though!
Serious Sam is another good one. Same idea... but even crazier floods of enemies (Serious Sam 2, anyway... that's what I played.)
