Join or not to join...that is the question

I have been invited to join a car crew.

The reason I am hesitant is the sticker I have to affix to the front windshield. Not only is it enormous, its a graffiti tag style font, and I hate it.
It just isn't what I want emblazoned on the front of my car.

    See pic: Notice windshield

    My Car:

Other than that I am "go" about it. They are a really nice group of people, and they are fun to go to shows with. (+1)
They are (obviously) not concerned with my lack of JDM, or the fact that my frame and the ground are not well acquainted.
    (+2)

So, do I join, even though I have to "junk up" my clean car?
Or do I try to stay on good terms with these people and yet politely refuse?

    ????

Just depends if you can live with the sticker or not. How many shows do they attend, how active are they, and how will joining their "crew" benefit you?

If a sticker is the only thing keeping you from joining, that's just silly.

regardless if you want the sticker or not on your car, that team should accept you if they really want you.

crews are for some or none. the foundation of my crew started from cb7tuner.com.

No, the other thing is that its the boyfriend's crew. We would have to alternate nights and that is really his only night to get out of the house. I don't want to encroach too much on "his shit". (though he says its fine)

The sticker IS a big issue though, call it silly, I am a woman and damnit, i'm particular about how I look. :P

Ghost 2.2- Well, they clearly accept me enough to invite me. I would NOT accept an invitation based on being a member's girl, and they know that.

i say ask if they can make a smaller one that you can put wherever you want to put it..the sticker is not a big issue, they may even be willing to accept you without having to put the sticker on the car anyway..talk to them and let them know hoe you feel about it and see what they tell you..

if they tell you the sticker is a must, and you still dont feel right, then let them know that you appreciate their offer but youre going to have to refuse..

Well you know as much as anyone here that asking for our opinion is kind of pointless.

I can tell that the sticker is really the deal breaker for you, so if your not interested then thankfully say no.

I was in a CC and they made it mandatory for the logo to be displayed on the hood in the center above the grill.

I was going to ask to be allowed to have it on the windshield(as its easier to get of glass) since i was just the web designer for the club and not a full blown member but the President of the club slapped the sticker on my hood before i had a chance to ask and while i was heated i was also honored so i just let it go and fortunately i was able to get it off without too much damage to the paint when the club disbanded.

usually large stickers are for shows.

we had one large sticker for our first show, then i re did to so we can sport it as an everyday type of thing.

                then we switched it up.

Could be worse, you could be expected to spend so much per year on your car or make a certain amount of power or run a certain time.

Do you not want it on the car PERIOD, or do you just not want it on the windshield? Couldnt you put it on the top of the windshield or the back windshield?

not only does that placement sound really lame, id probably beat his ass for putting the sticker on my paint without my permission.

see if they will make you a smaller sticker to put on your car. if you are kool with them and they really want you to rep with them they will understand.

You should put it on the hood, so it comes out backwards

But no, that's my vote in terms of the decal anyway unless you can get it smaller. It's not safe.

And I know around here you'd get pulled over.

                          life is good.

The way I see it is if they like you/want you in their crew, the damn sticker is pointless.

Personally if a sticker is a make or break deal with joining up, they can suck me.
