I believe Colin (evil_demon) is a good deal north of the area that was hit with the quake, so he should be alright. I'm not sure where any of the other guys are from. I hope everyone is OK!

He's in Auckland. The northern island. Christchurch is on the southern island.

As Mike said, I'm in the Northern Island in the city of Auckland.

Australia wouldn't have felt the quake, And neither did we in the upper north Island.



The damage is pretty severe, It's so devastating because it was only September last year that Christchurch got hit by a 7.1 quake at a depth of 33kms.
This quake was only a 6.3 this time, but what made it so bad was the fact that it was at a depth of only 5km's.

So far it is 98 confirmed dead, with another 230 people still missing

As a small country we all pull together, and help where we can.
I've noticed quite a few other countries have also given us aid in this event, And I want to personally thank everyone here for that.
Especially to the people in Australia, You sent a large crew over here in less than 24hours to help us where you can.
It's much appreciated.







I will comment more on this in here a bit later on, I have to shoot out for a while.
