    Make your Facebook more secure!

Facebook now allows you to use SSL.
To enable it, go up to the address bar, and add the required "S".
    Before: http://
    After: https://
A box will pop up asking you if you want to enable secure browsing. Say yes.
Then post your username and password below for safekeeping.

it's going to cause more trouble than good. Aside from that, it's pretty much unnecessary.

why do you people say its unnecessary? i bet half of you are communicating on it through wifi/3g.

the websites i make, everything is defaulted to be through https connections, because in general the sites deal with communications... sure itll cause increased server load but its a tradeoff i'd say everybody should be willing to accept.

honestly im surprised facebook had lasted so long without even supporting it for their login, at least. encrypting the rest of the data flow is a good idea, but i guess it is debatable whether or not its worth encrypting useless "im going to the mall" status updates.

give it a couple more years, and expect the majority of the internet's "interactive" sites to be using SSL/encrypted connections all the time.

I thought you had to apply for an SSL certificate, with dollars and what not.

every single one. and yes you do - not cheap, but in the grand scheme of things not overly expensive either.

and i have had FB set to default to it for a couple months now.

Why do I need to make FB more secure? I have NOTHING on there that is not already public information.

I guess I'm one of the few people that doesn't put my entire life online for people to see.
