In defense of Hondas I must point out that S2000s put down 700 hp on stock internals/transmission/rear end. Stock RSXs and new Civics put down 450+ on stock internals. And even our tiny B-series put down close to 400 on stock internals when in hands of people who know what they are doing. :cheers:

S2000's don't even come with limited slips do they? That much power won't do much good to one wheel if they don't!!

At any rate, though, It's GENERALLY much less expensive to get a mustang to those power levels than any import because A) They are starting with more and B) respond better to mods.

Not trying to cyber argue, just debating! It's all in the name of fun.

Also, accords cant put that power down like that, unfortunately. So if there is a s2k or newer civic going out there, it probably won't be from here.

Yes, 2Jz's are far superior to most motors Honda has built, but were talking about Honda motors right now.

It would be pretty sick to see a cb7 in a battle like that.

but really honda motors are as well built as the 2j....they just had two different purposes....theres something to be said for a 20 year old motor that can put down 250whp reliably when it was never designed to do so

I think if somebody put some effort into a CB shell, it could potentially compete with serious cars. Definitely not just Geos and Camrys....
The car would have to be built just with one purpose - to win those three events. All you really would need to do is get the shell to down to 2000lbs, build a high hp/variable geometry turbocharged 2.3L F or H, chipped ECU/tune, then spend some cash on suspension/light wheels. Then figure out how to balance your gearing/tire choice - so that it can do both drag and autox.
Then pick a good driver on the forum who can get into low 10s in the 1/4 and get killer times in autox. And then call up the mullet guy with Ford GT lol

This could be said about any car and any powerplant. You can make any car handle well and drive unreasonably fast when you have an unlimited budget.

i agree with the srt4, it would be the ideal opponent imo. stock for stock we stand no chance, but look at honda's aftermarket.

dsm is our main rival, i think. but fuck trying to compete with 4wd in the handling tests.

We wouldn't need a high horse power car, we could loose the drag and not care about it.

Challange something a little heavy and bring a car made fro autocross. The other two competitions are ours.

There are many cars on this forum that would have beat those two autocross times and slolum. Can we run a 10 second quarter, no, but who cares
