... OH! and I can't forget, they also NEVER have some wheels.

I've always liked DA's. Honestly, I've always thought of them as as Acura Accord(cb7 anyways). So much so, they also have that shitty crossmember that requires a special header.
You missed my point completly but i don't really care to inform you on what i ment.

I know exactly what you meant, you just happen to be incorrect. And you made a general statement about all integras. The OP was specifically referring to a DA, so your statement is quite invalid pertaining to this conversation.

And then you went on to generalize all integras you see, as if cb7's are any different. I love them, but honestly, they are far from being luxury. If anything the basic accord enthusiast is trying to be/have what integras owners DO have. A quick dohc vtec car. Without even trying, integras already have weight and gearing on their side. Just a fact unfortunately.

I happen to be incorrect about my opinion?

And you still misread my statement and twisted it even more

No offense... but there is also b18c gsr, b18c type r, b18c poor mans type r, b17 gsr, b20, b20vtec, lsvtec, k20, k24, k20/24. plus numerous off-the-shelf turbocharger and supercharger kits.

and i only listed easy swaps that require zero fabrication/custom work

DA's are cool. I've always longed to own one alongside my CB. However, having a CB coupe, I see no point to having a DA at all.

Either way, DA's are sweet cars. I'd buy one given the chance.

Im talking about things besides touching the damn motor or suspension

Such as improving the interior and adding functional daily driving equipment

lol so adding power isn't functional...

you can mod a DA any way you want... if you are going for comfort:
you can add a sunroof if it doesn't already have one,
it is already power everything, you can easily add power folding mirrors and full power heated seats, you can do a full leather interior, add aftermarket navigation, nice component speaker system, good alarm, sound deadening... etc.

it's a great vehicle all around. the only reason not to like it is that it is not new.

using the EF engine bay is the only thing that pisses me off about the DA chassis. theres literally no space to remove stuff in that bay. and the EF style front cross member setup is also what causes the clearance issues with 4-1 headers

but still i freakin love my DA. feel more at home in it than any other honda

The car does not have and luxury appearence. You can do whatever you want but it will still be an integra in the end

With your logic i could have some sweet ass geo metro cruiser with all sorts of luxury features but in the end its still a shitty ass geo metro that was never even remotly designed to me nice. I see the integra as a sports car and thats that. I see no luxury sports in it at all which is why i dislike it.

what will a cb7 accord be at the end of the day?

                          a ferrari? a volkswagen? a monkey's uncle?

Any car is what you make of it... and what you want from it. I'm happy with what my CB7 is. I know what it is, and I know what it is not. Is it "better" than any other car? For what I want, yes. However, that is my opinion. It's not faster than most of the cars on the road. It's not faster than ANY current sports car (except for MAYBE a Miata...) But it's fun. It's a little different than a Civic (though the average Mustang driver wouldn't know the difference between it and a Civic... I got a ticket once that called it a civic...) It's fast enough to be fun, comfortable enough to be enjoyable, and I like how it looks. I also don't mind working on it (for the most part.)

Is it fast? No. Is it luxurious? No (not many cars that old are, by today's standards.) Is it impressive to anyone that doesn't appreciate that specific model? Not really. Is it mine? Yes. Am I proud of it? Yes. That's all I want from it. That's all anyone should want from ANY car.

my DA is my daily grinder. fully stock and ready to rock. just wish i could fix the ac
