I have never felt an earth quake before
I woke up and my bed was very lightly shaking and all of my birds and the stupid dog were freaking out. I wasn't quite sure what it was and then it stopped. -
looks like it occurred in VA and was about a 5.8 magnitude..

I live just outside of Albany, NY and there was small quake out here. It was centered in a town called Altamont. It was small, like 2.5 or something, but still crazy.

yeah we felt it here in philly. everyone went home early because of safety concerns. it was a pain in the a.. to get out of center city lol. i hope everyone in VA is ok.are we there yet are we there yet are we there yet

Felt the quake here in south jersey. It shook for a little bit, then went away. Never experience a quake before. It was scary.my daily driver. (AOM June 2010)

I was up near Newark all day. Must've been driving when it happened, because I didn't feel a thing. I got to hear some great stories from my friends, barber, oil change guys, etc... My poor pup was freaked out when I got home! Thankfully my friend came over to steal my internet, so she kept him company while I was gone.
We've already had record rainfall in my area for August... and we're getting more storms! I swear, 10 of the past 20 days have brought thunderstorms. Long ones, too... not the usual kind that makes a lot of noise and passes quickly.
