    This time 10 years ago

I can't believe it's been 10 years already. Throughout the day post here about where you were, what you were doing, etc at the given time.

Also, let's keep the conspiracy theories out of here.

3rd period 3rd grade math class. Probably taking a test. Principal rushes in and tells Ms. Clay to turn on the tv right as the second plane flies into the towers.

I was working stocking shelves when one of my coworkers told me that a plane crashed into one of the towers.

Probably getting ready for the 1st day of grade 1. I don't remember hearing about it or anyone telling me.

I was in my senior year of high school, I was heading to my wood shop class from gym and I walked into to see my instructor with a shocked expression look on his face and then I looked up to the tv in time to see the second plane hit. It was somber bright sunny day though.

The rest of that day was..just quiet. The bus ride home there wasn't much talking, I remember getting home and seeing my parents had been let off work early.

Last time I ever saw the twin towers was actually two months before they were hit. My family and I were going thru NYC in mid July for a trip to the Outer Banks in NC, I remember looking at the towers from the main bridge that crosses from NYC to the NJ border.

It's weird, for some we can't even remember what how 1st grade was like but one major tragedy just gets etched into your mind forever.

I'm not going to lie, I've listened to the tapes and I teared up. For those people who were trapped sometimes I wish I had the ability to rewind time and stop all that.

There is one tape..that just haunts me though. It's the one recording of this guy named Micheal Cosgrove...the end where he just screams 'Oh God!' and you just hear this loud rush in the background and the abrupt silence is very very haunting.

fucking around after morning marching band sophomore year. i started goin oh god oh god world war 3. man i was a cunt. it didnt really register til the next day. i was literally sick to my stomach and stayed home from school. a lot of people did, but im pretty sure nobody questioned taking a day off from the daily grind on the 12th. it was my introduction to how terrible the world can actually be.

I was on my first morning break heading to my grade 10 science class when I heard rumours in the hallway about "the world trade centre fell into the river"

When we got into class there was an announcement over the PA system saying there had been an incident in New York and there were no further details yet. Then we carried on our day.

When I got home from school around 4 that day, my mom already had the tv on and I just couldn't beleive what I saw. Those were life altering images. It's hard to beleive it's already been 10 years.

I can't believe it either. And it feels like you can just step back in time every year the anniversary comes up. What if they had been unsuccessful? Would our country be any different?

it was 9th grade i was walking into 3rd period (biology) about 9:25ish i believe
saw the tv on which was kinda of weird and noticed one of the buildings on fire and damaged. then as more people were coming into the class the second plane was flying towards the other tower.

that's when my buddy and i knew it was something that was not an accident

as bad as it sounds we made a few remarks(w/ laughs following) about the kid that was absent that day being behind it, but looking back it was very disrespectful towards the people that lost their lives or loved ones

I was waking up for work, my last day at rite aid. My alarm was my tv turning on to the news. All day all the customers talked about was what was going on in the news.

One week later I started at tj's. It id amazing to think that its been 10 years already. Time does go by fast.

It's crazy because it's something that has affected so many lives for so long now. It has changed so many things in our society. You could almost call it some sort of a small revolution in the way it changed us all.
