I completely agree with you guys!!!

My wife on the other hand.... Well I live with her. She doesnt let people walk on her or anything like that, but at the same time she handle's things differently then I do. I could care less about being an asshat if I need to.

She on the other hand is "Mature" about it, or atleast she thats what she claims. Its funny though, when she cannot get her point across she expects me to go into hulk mode even though she's kept me on a leash about being a dick to random people for years.

This one day, maybe 5 years ago I was arguing with the cashier at wal-mart about the price of a mattress pad. I wont bore you with the details, but during the ordeal this random lady behind me says,"Why dont you just pay the price and figure it out at customer service. Your wasting my time."

And without even taking a breath to think about whats going on I say,"you know what lady, these people are wasting enough of my time that I could care less about wasting yours!!"

As she carried on about me being an asshole under her voice, I said loud enough for everyone to hear while not yelling,"Look into my eyes lady, do you think I give one shit about you?!..... Then shut the fuck up!! Theres like 15 other checkouts open, Im sure someone else will be happy to help you!"

Lol, I still crack up thinking about the look on this ladies face.... LOLOLOL.

Anyways, ever since then, my wife freaks out when stuff like this comes up and I have learned to keep my mouth shut most of the time.

omfg i hate people on line who want to rush you because they clearly are more important then you.

Now there is rules to this shit...

if your an idiot and you are just fumbling at the register(the customer that is) then i can understand getting impatient but you should still try to be nice.

In your case where the register lady is the problem and NOT you, then it fucking puts me through the roof when people start in.

I usually turn around and like a true asshole say, "Damn its funny i don't recall anyone asking for your opinion'

        Usually works.

        lol.

Some guy once tried to tell me that i wasn't online because the line went this way(as he points to another separate line)

I was like "yea that's nice" and ignored him....fucking drove him nuts but by my body language he could tell not to try it again.

idk about in other places(didn't really have these problems in Fla, but then again its a lot of elderly people so ya gotta give them a pass)

In NYC people are mad fucking arrogant and rude and they are ALWAYS looking for short cuts and ways to fuck the person next to them.

They don't really want to be assholes and they are pretty accepting of people when they come here(just look at the mix of cultures)

But it just is cut throat here....always has been, always will.

I have one question, is the term "on line" or "in line". I've always thought that its "in line" but i noticed that quite a few people say " on line" and it just doesnt sound correct to me (because I've never said it like that). Can someone just confirm for me so I know which way is correct. Thanks in advance.

I think either way would be correct i guess.

I think online is the correct way because your waiting "on line"

But i guess it could be waiting "in line".

            So either way.

I always say "in line", as do most people I know, but I've heard both. I think "online" has come to mean internet these days... so it's most likely a term that will fall out of use, since it has another (completely different) meaning nowadays.

I've had issues like that while driving. Years ago (like... 1999), I was on a small road. One lane each direction, on a hill, blind curves like crazy. It was about a half mile of road between stoplights. Well, some asshat in a BMW blew past me in the turn lane at the first light. Me, being a hothead 19 year old, tromped the gas and took off after him. We got to the next light, and I inched forward. Inched. Inched. Inched. Apparently, I tapped his bumper, ever so slightly. He got out of his car and started screaming at me. I didn't get angry. I didn't get scared. I just stayed calm and looked at him. He got back in his car and saw me cracking up in his mirror. So he got out of his car again and started yelling about getting the cops involved for a $3 scratch on his bumper. I paused, and calmly said "you missed your light." as the light went from green to red.
I wish I could say that a cop got him when he ran the light afterward, but sadly, the end of the story is THAT perfect. Still, the douchenozzle was in enough of a hurry to pass me in the wrong lane and cut me off... so it was VERY satisfying to waste as much of his time as I possibly could!

"me" and "myself" are interchangeable in that instance. Both are essentially referring to yourself objectively.

"myself" sounds a bit pretentious, though. I've heard far too many low-class old ladies overusing that word in an attempt to sound educated...

My 12th grade English teacher always talked about how he would go into any Wal-Mart and see the express aisles say "10 items or less" and would always tell someone that it's wrong and that its supposed to read "fewer". I don't remember the rule exactly but it always sounds awkward, maybe just because I'm so used to seeing it "less".

Yeah, that's the thing... we're all so used to hearing things said the wrong way that the correct way sounds awkward. I can't currently think of the reason why "10 items or less" is incorrect. Then again, I haven't studied grammar since... 1994?

I was just listening to Handlebars by Flobots today. "Me and my friend made a comic book" and "me and my friend saw a platypus"... I noticed the incorrect usage of "me" (should be "my friend and I"), but I attributed it to the fact that he's speaking from the perspective of a child in the first verse. However, the second verse is when he's speaking as a young adult... educated... and says "me and my friends understand the future"... which is terribly incorrect.

Before someone says it, I know my liberal use of the ellipsis is also very incorrect.

Yeah if I'm not mistaken it has to do with a certain quantity of the main subject. I graduated in 2010 so really I don't have an excuse but I've slept since then, and I haven't had an english class since my first semester of college and the professor was a freakin twit that couldn't tell shit from pudding so I learned nothing lol.

I don't know if it's just me but I never really pay attention to the grammar usage in music just because I can't even think of a couple off the top of my head that actually use it correctly. When I'm listening to music I'm more feeling the beat and flow of it rather than if they're speaking properly
