I like trying to figure out riddles. I guess I am a nerd. Anyway here is a good one I read today. Post any good riddles you have heard.

A boat has a ladder that has 6 rungs. Each rung is 1 foot apart. The bottom rung is 1 foot from the water. The tide rises up 12 inches every 15 minutes. High tide peaks in one hour. When the tide is at it's highest, how many rungs are under water?

None, the boat rises with the tide!

Depends on what level the tide is at when the bottom rung is a foot from the water.

It's in the riddle. It was at a level in which the bottom rung was a for above it. My guess is 3.

Eh yeah, but I felt it didn't say that explicitly. So yeah it could be three. Or all of them could be under water if the ladder is on the boat horizontally

There ya go! First time I heard this I was like it must be 3 rungs! Oh and nobody noticed the invincible text!

So heres a riddle I heard once;



3 guys get a hotel room, the room is $25. Each guy puts a $10 bill down, and the guy at the counter says it'll be a minute for the change, the bus boy will bring it up.

So the guys go to their room and settle in.


The bus boy thinks about how to break up the $5 to 3 guys, and in the end decides to give each guy a dollar back and keep two for himself, for his tip.


So each guy spent $9, and the bus boy kept $2. Where did the other dollar go from the original $30?

That's a good one. The wording really throws you off!

One of them contributed $9 to the room. The other two each contributed $8 and $1 for the tip. That $2 came from the $9, but the final question of the riddle makes you think that it came from the $5 change.

It did.

The bus boy scooped up $2 when he was taking their $5 bux back to the room. He couldnt figure a way to give the 3 guys equal change, so he pocketed $2 and gave them each one dollar.

30 - 2(tip) = 28.

28/3 = 27 + 1.

There's still 1 left over....

That kinda blows your mind though.

He picks up 2 and gives 1 back to each of them = 5.

Right. The mention of the $9 is what throws you off... because you start thinking 9x3=27

The $30 consisted of:
$8 from one man for the room, $1 tip, $1 change
$8 from one man for the room, $1 tip, $1 change
$9 from one man from the room, no tip, $1 change.
