My heart goes out to those of you who are currently experiencing the huge tornado ripping through the Dallas/Fort Worth area right now. Please, stay safe.

I survived hurricane ike, the worst it did to the property was knock one side of our fence down. At work it destroyed the skylights, and soaked all the interior walkways (6 story building, central courtyard in the building), after that it smelled like someone went swimming in their favorite nike's and hid them under the carpet.

This just makes me think of last year when Sanford, NC was hit by a tornado... That's my home town, btw... It hit several family member's homes and destroyed my grandfather's childhood farm... It was only about 3-4 miles away from my grandfather's house and my dad's house... But also, that day, they had reported 62 tornadoes in North Carolina.

First tornado was about 7 minutes away from my house. I'm a 911 dispatcher for Lancaster and I'm getting called in now because of the storm/damage

really?? Nice! Are they hiring?? How about for Ft. Worth? ....
Storm passed by like a regular storm so I guess I was lucky. I was about 20 minutes away from the swirly clouds.
