So I had a torn motor mount

But I had no idea it was this bad. It also seems like it was just the front.
I knew I had a bit of play. I bought the front mount, but was too lazy to do it
when I did my timing belt.
Now, a month later, I need some serious exhaust work. That's what I get for
    being lazy.

But yeah, it was way worse than I though it was.
It also seems like the problem I had in first is gone.
I had thought my 1st gear was slipping.
    MRT
37.5 MPG, AC on, cruising at 80.
30.0 MPG, AC on, aggressively driving around 90.
27.5 MPG, no AC, cruising at 90 with occasional gridlock. 40 degrees Fahrenheit

I've seen people here with the entire bushing torn out. Basically, if they removed the mount, that sleeve would fall right out.

Well, that side is completely torn. The other side is dong it no favors either.
When I turn it upside down, the sleeve jiggles around.

Are you asking for a DIY to change the mount or fix the exhaust?

It's two bolts. The front mount is not a load-bearing mount, so you can remove it without supporting the engine. Easiest thing in the world to do.

but what is the part called? i cant find it on rockauto and i need to tell the parts guy what i want...

i tried searching for trans mount for auto and the pictures that come up look nothing like it.

EDIT: I think i found it
I was looking for the whole dogbone because i thought they were one piece

                  sorry to derail the thread...

Because it's not a trans mount. It's a front motor mount. Torque mount on Rockauto.

That's the one you need, if it's anywhere near the radiator. The other mounts are on the sides, one on the driver's side attached to the engine, and the other on the passenger side attached to the transmission... and then of course the one in back (the rear mount, obviously.)

The issue I ran into was the lower bolt was right next to my trans cooler lines.

I had to use a u joint because of where it was, and everytime I turned it it touched the lines.
I ended up removing the bracket that hold in the radiator and pulling it up a few inches. That was enough for the u joint to spin.
Granted, I put an impact on it and also had to heat the nut.

Greatest feeling in the world getting that off without breaking anything.

why not just fill it in?like deevv said its not load bearing so you can drive without it.i also want to add that you said you broke this new one in a month or so.that is leading me to the other mounts as well.just because ther are not visually broke does not mean they arent old or streesed causing the new mount to take the abuse that the other mounts should help reduce.

                              my new turbo build
