my cb7 ownership was short, but im on here multiple times per day, mostly in OT.

i dont have the same connection to other members as some of you, but i like the characters & individuals here, and enjoy the commentary, and the content that passes through OT.

That's a really cool forum that you've created. My wife actually works with people that have aspies and autism and many other disabilities. I will show her the site tonight!
LOL I loved the colorful butterflies so i decided i wanted it as my background

KOOL, I have yet to meet many aspies or people that work with aspies around here. (actually I have only met one aspie and no one that works with aspies) That would be great I look forward to seeing her on there.

Most of the time I lurk on this site I'm not even signed on. I mostly like to just read; learn and see what's going on with other members. While I don't have a CB at the moment, I do plan on getting another. So I still like to get ideas.

That the immaturity level here is pretty low compared to other, bigger, forums is also very nice. And since we are a small forum, most of us are familiar with a lot of other members (I guess percentage-wise against, say, H-T), and I like that community feel.

This was also my first forum-
We should nickname cb7t the "de-virginator" forum, lol.

I like the fact that once I started posting useful things, that I was respected as much as any Guy on this forum. Once I let it be known I was not here for personal attention- the leg humping ceased, and I was treated respectfully.
Only the noobs were all like "What the Effff does this girl know?"- until I got my huge cock of rep. And now they are like "Yes, Ma'am- please don't beat me with that thing".

I, too, went to AFM this year- and as Mike said, I was walking around a meet full of people I had known for years! It was wonderful. I am not the kind of person that changes vehicles often, (only on #2!) so yall will have to put up with me for quite a while yet!

I hang out here for inspiration and all the kick ass cb7's around the world. This

is the only site on the web that I enjoy ..Most of the people are cool and are

my kind of people.I log on every day to see what new mods friends are doing.

CB7TUNER is the most addicting habit to form.

A man that keeps looking back can't see whats in front of him.

Lots of feedback about how awesome the site is, not much on the topic of increasing activity.

                    Suggestions;

-Encourage documented stuff, pics and active shit. Working on your car, show us. Best whatever for the month, get a special recognition in your name or location or some shit.

-other forums have daily active conversations. There a couple on here currently, but you could expand on that to involve people. I've seen games made out of this approach. Ongoing thread of challenges as an example. "Todays challenge, send a pic of your cb next to the city population sign of your city" or whatever. Let the person that gets in first make up the next challenge.

                    Just a couple ideas.

Perhaps we could implement some sort of rewards system for creating useful DIY threads, or remaking old, poorly documented, poorly organized, incomplete, or out of date DIY threads.
That's what I was getting at when I mentioned LadyG's axle replacement DIY. It may not have been the first, but it was the easiest to follow, with clear pictures that showed exactly what needed to be done. Definitely a great DIY for any beginner to follow, as it's a procedure that just about anyone can pull off if they just follow the steps!

This site is packed with useful information. However, the organization of it isn't exactly the greatest. Organization has NEVER been a strong suit of mine, so if it wasn't for the mods, things would look a million times worse.

As to Organization- The Archive either needs to be brought "forward" or the info condensed and re-issued.

When I did my swap Jarrett helped me find the ONE thread made about it.

There were parts interchangeability questions I had, that had he not assisted, and I not known how to search for what I wanted in the Oddy forums, I could not have found the answers to.

Part of this is because those old posts (Like the Ultamate lip thread) have missing pics, or because they are buried back in 2005 or 2006, so you would have to really, really know what your looking for.

                                Quite true.
That's why it would be very helpful for the average member to create new threads from time to time with updated information. It's far too much for the staff to do alone!

That's also one reason I stress proper spelling and thread titles so much. Searching doesn't work when the necessary terms are misspelled, or the thread title is too vague to show what's in the thread!
