This is amazing! Thanks a lot for compiling everything. I disliked having to scroll through everything to find a DIY for simple repairs or maintenance.

Quick question on the pictures that do not work. Do admins have to go in and change the pictures or do we have to ask that individual user to refresh them?

I wouldn't mind using my camera to update some pictures.

I know I am going to be replacing my radiator this weekend and the DIY for that was done back in 2005. The pictures are all broken or missing. I could try and match up what corresponded to the original picture ?

Or possibly rewrite a new DIY and give credit to the original thread.

Again thanks a lot for putting everything in one post at the top of the section.

Feel free to rewrite, write a new one in your own words, or simply copy the original text and add new pictures (I, or any other moderator, can edit the original post to include your updated pictures.)
Whatever help you can offer will be greatly appreciated!

i know it sounds like it might be a pain, but if possible can the threads with missing pictures/outdated information/ broken links have some sort of key to it in the title maybe?

        example:
"SUSP: Replacing front rotors (Quick/Dirty Way)"

=" SUSP: Replacing front rotors (Quick/Dirty Way) NU "

        NU= Needs updating.

I'm sure you guys can figure out a better format for them though.. other than that. I'm in love with the DIY index, its a shame the first one i clicked is missing pics x)

We can all help out. I think only admins can edit the title of the threads to have that appear next to the thread in parenthesis. I could be wrong though. I like how you are thinking. An additional title could be OEM way or 'by the book'.
If you are doing a certain repair and have a camera snap some shots.
I tried to do that yesterday when I was replacing my radiator. The DIY was done for a manual and with an auto there are two tranny cooler lines to remove.
Hopefully more members add their thoughts. I think as a community we can all help out and it will make it better. I am open to anything. What do you guys think?

Yeah, only mods and admins can do that.
I might go through (probably with help) and write up a list of the threads that seem to be the most important to repair or replace. Might eventually compile a full list of all the threads in need of attention. Then whenever someone fixes one of the threads, they can PM a moderator/admin so the list can be adjusted.

I've been meaning to go back into the Interior index for a more detailed organization ever since I completed the others. My first attempt at an index was pretty vague, and I didnt like it as soon as I got to organizing my second. So I've revisited Interior, got one section done tonight. A lot of people have been wanting it, so as I'm going through this one I'm noting which threads need attention. Bad links, broken images, etc. I'll go through the rest of the Indexes to add similar notes in time...

If anyone disagrees with how I handled the 'bad' threads, let me know!

*ED. - Cool, my 1320th post, lol.

Now we just need to find all the threads outside of the DIY sections that are basically diy's like the ones on swapping out transmission gears, ect and get those indexed. I will try and start a personal list that I can submit to one of you guys for review.
If you really want to take this on, feel free to post your suggestions as replies in the appropriate Index threads. I don't know if admins moving threads (if one decides to do that) changes the URL, but I'll be glad to throw them up. When I was doing the Engine/Trans index, I included links to the H swap info that new members are bound to be curious about. I figured more exposure for those links would help avoid new (and unnecessary) threads on the subject.
