    fun at a Storage

now full credit goes to excalibur02 for this... when i started to participate it boggled my mind... lol.

heres the situation, around here in northern jersey we have nowhere to work on cars... cept mauricio's back yard which i have to admit its kinda hard to keep a jackstand holding up a car when its sitting on soft dirt...

so mauricio gets a new job working at a storage, then he bought that wrecked 99 lude, and had nowhere to put it, so he parked it in a storage box. The place is doing a thing where the first month is only $20, so for the past couple months hes been switching it around under his friends names.

we busted out the tools and started yanking the h22 out of the lude... then (i wasnt here for this) they turned around and installed that h22 into a civic in another storage box. when it was done they just drove it out... its a crazy mess, tools and parts everywhere, but then close the door and tadaa, its all hidden. then mauricio actually had another h22 delivered RIGHT TO PS and dropped it in his storage box to put in our friend's car... we work after hours when the place is closed, and mauricio has 2 rented boxes... only one has a light. so coco jams a pole in the light timer knob so the light never goes off, and mauricio used an adaptor to plug in an extenstion cord into the light fixture, and ran the long orange cord down the road to the other storage box, so we have light in both... its craziness i tell you! check out these pics, its a beautiful thing..

99 lude, auto H22 for an unnamed friends car, and the hoist. notice the pole on hte left stuck in the timer knob

well actually the manager dude is mauricio's brother in law... so he is kinda turning his head for us... which is cool of him, but we just need to make sure it gets cleaned up really well, and an idea mauricio had that he got approved was to lay down a thick coat of industrial floor paint in the box to cover up the mess. so itll be all good, its a beautiful garage, nice even flat concrete floor... hehe

and the friend whos getting the h22 is a member of this site, but hes keeping it a secret until hes done with it. so thats why i didnt mention his name

well, it's a dark colored cb7... black, green, or blue... and it's in the ny area... rocking the 5 spoke wheels... wonder if i could figure it out?!

I only saw this when all this craziness was beginning... It was just the 99 lude still together (as together as it could be with the damage it had), no work done yet. I remember that car being SO nice looking... I kept saying I wanted to buy it and fix it, and Mike had to keep reminding me it wasn't worth it. I almost cried because such a beautiful car was banged up that badly... but then again... I was pretty drunk... lol

its actually that midnight blue, its the car that i got my grey interior out of, and he is still riding around with my old blue... and the wheels he has on there are actually pretty rare, they are the 7 spoke "sunflower" as we call them, alloys. ive never seen them on a cb7, in person or in pics, besides in the OEM manual back from when our cars were new. so its kinda cool that hes rockin a set of those, and they are clean too.
