So im going to Hells Canyon on the snake river this weekend to go camping and fishing. Supposadly the bass are hitting like crazy right now as the weather is warming up and if the bass arent hitting i could always try for cat fish mybe some crappie who knows. So this will be the first camping trip of the year. Its going to be cold as a witch's titty at night but ill survive. Anyone else into this stuff.

Last year i realized i was missin out on all the fun outdoors shit i did as a little kid and promised myself to go alot this summer. In the summer in Hells Canyon its a little extreme with temps in the 115+ at least a week or two out of the year so its better to go in early summer than retreat to the mountain lakes and streams in mid summer.
so any one else into the outdoors?

I fish, but I stick to the ocean, I think it's more fun. Deep sea and surf fishing are the best!

Ive been told that. I have gone salmon fishing were the mouth of the columbia enters the pacific before that was pretty tight. I have always been into hiking streams in the mountains with a ultralite fishing pole ripping the trout on a little panther martin spinner. I like being in the forest. I definatly want to try the deep sea and surf fish though it sounds like a blast.
It would be sick to do a meet/fishing trip like in socal somewhere.

fishing is awesome, nice relaxing activity, unless of course your deep sea fishing. Im waiting for it to warm up a little more in VT, before i pull out the rod. Im heading down to cape cod June 15th through the 20th, to do some ocean fishing, hopefully get something worth eating. , good luck with your trip, hope you catch a 2 foot long bass!

WOW, someboy else from IDAHO? weird. I live In Lewiston where the Snake river meets the Clearwater river where the fishing gets pretty good. Let me know if your ever this way? And since your new to Idaho check out www.idahostreetracing.com they are mostly a bunch of shit talkers but hey it's fun to whore up that site. Plus there are a lot of fast cars in this state.

What up guys? So fishing this weekend was pretty good. I dont have a boat so i was restricted to what i could reach from the bank but i still did pretty good. About 15-17 smallmouth bass. It rained off and on saturday but it was nice to just be outdoors. Anybody else do anything cool?

hey i went fishing to yesterday. went to Columns Lake, it's up north of Sacramento, CA. man it was hella fun caught ten 15-16 inch spotted bass. Plus we didn't have to buy any bait cause all we did was fish the little fish and use them for the bass .

Deep sea fishing and surf fishing is a blast. I use the same rod for both, maximum of 14 lb test. It makes it more of a game then using higher pound test. I cought a 6 foot dusky shark off the coast of jersey last summer on 12 lb test. It took about 1/2 hour to get it in.

Holy shit man. Thats a big ass fish. I started using this stren braided line. I bought ten pound test but its supposadly then same thickiness as three so i figured what the hell. Its crazy it has no streatch at all and you immedialty feel everything it is so sweet. 10lb is a little high but i didnt want to lose a bunch of money in bass gear so thats why i use it.
