Need Ideas For Quick Employment!!!!

Hey everyone!

I've got a little predicament I could use some advise and you guys always seem to come through.


My lease is up July 1st and I need to find another place to live before then. That's not the issue.


The issue is that I'm totally broke, no job, no promising job opportunities and a few issues preventing me from getting a decent job.

Issues:
1. Bad credit
2. Terrible driving record
3. No license
4. No insurance


I've applied at tons of auto shops and junkyards and paint shops and any place automotive related however, the license situation is keeping me from getting a job related to cars being that I can't legally drive them.


I need $$$$ to get my issues straight, but I need a decent job to get the extra $$$ to get the issues straight, plus I still need LOTS of $$$$ to pay my monthly bills.


I've submitted over 200 applications w/resumes over the past few weeks and nothing looks good so far.


I'm plenty qualified for even a basic mechanic job, but the whole license situation is really screwing me up.


At this point, I just need a quick job that pays at least $10/hr+ and will give me at least 40 hours a week or more. I don't care what it is!!! I NEED THE $$$$ ASAP!!!!!! I've even applied for being a lifeguard at pools and other kind of stuff like that but no luck so far! I don't want to do anything food related, but I will if I have to. I'd like other ideas and suggestions first tho!


If I do not get some serious $$$ coming in soon, I will be homeless within the 5 weeks or so!!!!

have you tried places like autozone, advance, napa, etc?
good desk help is hard to find (too many idiots at my autozone, which is why I go to Advance.)
my friend at advance makes $8.75 p/h and he is only a 20 yr old with basic mechanic skills.
You could easily get $10 I bet.
try it out, but the whole not able to drive thing better one of the first things you fix in order to get things straight in your life.

I still drive....I'm just not supposed to. It's all because I owe DMV for a stupid $85 fee plus I need to have insurance w/SR22 on file and that lapsed which is why I owe DMV and need like $500 to get it straight now.

I've tried the local auto stores, but I may venture further away. I'm trying to keep the driving to a minimum for now but I will go wherever I need to go.

Tried that and I don't make a very attractive woman lol! Seriously, I've applied for electrician helper jobs, plumbing jobs, carpentry, masonry, and so on. Nothings happening so far.

try the local hospitals. plenty of job opportunities in the medical/health field. entry positions such as patient transporters, orderlies, ward clerks, just to name a few. i can't speak for the local facilities around your area, but its possible they start around the $10-$15/hourly range.

2) simple as fuck
3) they don't care if you're even here legally, what drugs you abuse, how many kids you have and don't support, etc......

you can bring home $500/week and work 6 days a week or less doing simple shit

I will try that next week as well. The only issue is that the local hospital around here is used as a learning center for the VCU college students, so they usually get students to do that kind of work for free as part of their education.

I've tried, but there's gotta be at least ONE construction company that willing to hire me ASAP. I'm pretty good at anything mechanically oriented. I did a lot comercial glass installs and roofing in my younger days. I don't miss the 100lb+ pieces of glass or the 80lb shingle bags at all!

UPS or FedEX. $9-$10 hour. Grunt work, but good chance you would get hired and quickly. I have done both.

Restaurant work. Waiting tables can bring in lots of money (been doing it for 5+ years now.) If you can't get in as a waiter, even the dishwashers at many places (especially the corporate places) get paid $8 an hour or more. I know plenty of illegals that were making 13-15 an hour.

Trust me, if you go to a restaurant as an english speaking person, and say you're willing to do dishes or some other crap job that's usually done by someone that doesn't speak a word of English, you'll be hired on the spot... as long as you're willing to work for the same amount as the non-english speaker.

may not be the best, but honestly most can't keep people for too long cause they pay low but normaly they hand out jobs like candy.

I did note that your resume is set up quite a bit different then mine...maybe that's a possible problem.
