He sold me an EGR valve..HAVENT SEEN IT IN OVER a month and a half!! I have been patient, he told me it was shipped...he also told me he would provide a tracking number...neither happened obviously!

Paypal is taking care of it.

yea man...this happened to me...but after a month he finally refunded...excuse was that an in law passed away or something, so I let it go, but a month later it still didn't come...thats when I said you've got to be kidding me. Look up his name find his threads...i posted in them warning people that he never ships...

Good for you for not having any sympathy for him..I don't think he's really looking for one anyways..He already said Paypal is taking care of everything, so why get so mad about it?

People always try to protect themselves..But a lot of times, things like these do happen, especially when it comes to doing business transactions over the internet..No matter how hard you try to protect yourself, no matter how much necessary info has been provided in the classifieds forum, some things you just can't prevent from happening..

Maybe, instead of seeing these kinds of threads as "complaining", you can just look at them as "caution" threads, just to warn everyone..That way other members on here will be more careful when dealing with the mentioned seller..I'm pretty sure that was his intention when he started this thread..

If I ever end up getting scammed from one of the members on here *knock on wood*, I will definitely post up a thread to let everyone know..Not necessarily to complain, but just to warn everyone to be more careful when dealing with that particular seller..Would that be so wrong that I'd get banned for doing so?

maybe there could be a buyer feedback section?

theres one on another forum i use, each thread is someones name, beside each ones name theres stats ex. (12-0) 12 good sales, 0 bad sales. everytime you buy something from the person you leave feedback, and a mod updates the thread title to make it read (13-0).

i think this way you'll be able to find out or at least have some background on previous sales hes done, and be able to find if somebody is flakey or not.

just an idea though, im not complaining.

Ronald - We're not ebay. I'm not a judge. For me to ban the sellers would be for me to get involved. I WILL, however, ban people for flaming on the board. To me, that is flaming. I can't stop people from scamming. I CAN educate the buyers, and I have provided all the information needed to make a transaction as safe as possible (paypal only returns your money if the seller still has it in their account). If they choose to ignore the information, then they're choosing to take that risk.

Stewie - The idea of a feedback forum has been presented before. And it's because of threads like these that it will never happen. One person has an issue, and 25 others jump on and attack the person that "scammed" them.


I know some of you may be too new to remember flacopower. flacopower was on here selling a LOT of stuff when he wrecked his car. Turbo stuff, parts, etc... hundreds of dollars worth. Well, right around the time people sent him money, he had a whole lot of stuff go down in his life. Deaths in the family, etc... He couldn't handle everything, and he disappeared for a few weeks. When he came back ready to appologize, ship, or refund, he saw 2 or 3 threads saying what a scammer he was. Well, he got pissed off. He no longer had a CB7. He no longer cared to be a part of this community. Since everyone here already labeled him a scammer, he just kept the money. He eventually came back and tried AGAIN to fix things, and AGAIN he got flamed by those that weren't involved.

Call someone a scammer publicly and they WILL become a scammer, regardless of their original intent. If someone really DID scam you, they're long gone now. You don't need to warn anyone about them.

Well put, I was scammed and i was mad as hell. i finally got over , seller and contacted me several times saying that he was going send me my money but still done so, its been almost a year. Live and you learn That David Jennifer dude was actually on my friend list on myspace for awhile before I deleted him because we never spoke.....anyways, hope you get your stuff.
