    CD Storage?

where do you guys keep your extra CDs in the car?

for the longest time ive had a CD spindle with the tip cut down so it would fit in that long pocket in the console next to the ebrake handle, it held 10-15 CDs. recently (since i had been driving the grey car for a while, didnt have a full console, OR an MP3 deck, so none of my multi-album discs worked) ive been using a full 50-spindle, with cap, sitting in the console. it actually fits perfectly, and has plenty of room for CDs!

im looking forward to getting to getting my in-dash PC installed, so i dont need to carry/swap cds again.

I got 2 small cases I keep in the back, I got a bunch of random cds all over the back seats and my favorite place to keep them is in that little space beside the e-brake(not the same location as Mike's).

Haha. That's where I'm keeping my CB until I get my car painted.

recently just bought this massive case, think it holds around ~520 discs. But there is no way i am going to carry that around with me at all times. i brought it with me on a trip to TN i took and had to lean the pass. seat all the way back to sift through all the pages! LOL!

not only is bulkiness an annoyance, but last summer a buddy of mine got his '96 accord broken into (in his driveway) and had ALL of his CD's ganked. he had a good 200, mostly authentic not burned. that's not going to happen to me, haha. my CD's are the only material things i really care about, i would seriously cry if they were stolen.

the other case has all my mixes in it, mostly full as well as the big case.

^thats what i use in the CB. holds about 12 but i end up stuffing about twice as much in there. when i park, it fits nicely in my locked glovebox.

                ...i like deftones?

no kidding, made the first page. love it.

i had one of those books of 400+ CDs, till i filled it. thats when i converted to all spindles, never looked back. most compact method of storage, just no room for booklets... unfortunately i only own like, 10 booklets, and they are still in the cases in my room

                    ...and the second page. hehe.

i tried the whole spindle storage, but i have this thing of having to have the cd cover accompanying the actual cd. im anal like that...or OCD, whatever you want to call it.

                      Aaron - CBs FTW!

I have the 12 holder up on my visor, like k-mart, and i have the 400-er in the backseat. I have "recently-purchased" CDs that are still in the cases and theyre in the driver-side door pocket and in the pockets behind the seats. All my good shit's on mp3 but my ICE dont play mp3's so until i get that fixed or converted, its all my old shtuff.

BTW - how the hell do you take the ebrake handle off!?!

I have a bag of like 15 CDs that I keep in the cubby in my armrest (or Glove Compartment, depending on the car). Theyre pretty much all my GFs, with the exception of a few, but Im too afraid of losing my big CD case, because of situations like Im in right now, where I mistanely wipe out all the music on my hard drive, and have to put alot of it back on.

yea i do the book thing.... ive got like a 200 page book filled in my car now, i usually stand it upright snug between the driver/passanger seats...like between the armrest and the other seat...it fits good there...either that or it floats around my car lol....

but im about to get another one and organize big time cuz my shit is all messy...im not ocd or anal but i do wanna basically keep store bought cds in my house and the mix's n copies in the car so if they get yanked i still got the originals....BUT....my girl is buying me a 30g ipod for my bday and ive got 5gigs of music on my computer right now so once i import every cd i own ill just probably keep cds in my room and ipod in the car, or at least when im in it lol.

My book just sits in my backseat. Ive only had someone sitting back there once since ive been dwon here so...but i too have to make or find room to open it up and really look through it.

:OT: Lowz, i didnt mean remove completely, that was my error.

"How does one remove the original handle so that it may be replaced by an aftermarket handle?
