      LOL

      You sound pissed

Again, if you wanna follow your own direction... go for it, why does it matter what other people think?

Look at the AOTM's here... a lot fit your bill... but there were a few kitted ones... and there were ones like AccordinglyAaron's. So... yer wrong

There will always be people who hate... because their lives suck and the only place they have any control is on a message board... but in the end... they log off... and their lives still suck... and you don't have to deal with them. So what's the big deal?

Hey-hey. Easy, Nic. I may be a CB7 tuner but I'm also a "carb-V8-fed bitch." Both you and I have late '70s Fords. I just happen to love mine more than you love yours. lol

            why is so true????

maybe it was b/c everything was so new back then, street racing was HOT, not FNF hot, but you would actually burn your money to amp up your car to run against the guy who beat you; or just for bragging right that NO ONE could beat you

he does makes sense it some respect, but i definetly dont agree w/being the "bastard" kids like the domestics, trust me...have you heard a meathead meet.....I MAKE ....HP, GOING STR8, WELL I MAKE ....HP AS WELL, WHILE THE OTHER GUY MAKES .....HP TOO

I totally agree with you on that one! Although I do like that appearance I would never hate on someone elses ride just because its not my style.

                Quote:
You race a Mustang in a 3 series and your seen as a rich spoiled brat.
You race a Mustang in an Integra and your seen as a ricer.
                Theres just no winning

Its just how things are now.
And to add to that you race in a domestic ex. (mustang) your white trash with a mullet.

Your right there is no winning, there will always be someone hating, makes me sad

No-no dont get me wrong, You and I both are educated about the import scene and What it's about. You dont see me running around going "look at your gas guzzling piece of shit..." I have much respect for the V8 guys or any car enthusiast for that matter, It just aggervates me when they go "look at your little rice burner..." When I am not even speaking to them. I just look at them and say "my car cosumes the same fuel that your V8 takes, just at a lesser rate." See, not rude, it just makes them look stupid when they have no idea what they are talking about and make assumptions based on what they have seen on the television and magazines... Need i refer to the Honda Civic that Horsepower TV built.

i got into it with a domestic owner the other morning. talking about that his crown vic would eat my accord up. my only statement:

"i get better gas mileage thatn you do. my car last longer than yours. it handles better than yours. anything else you want me to add?"

he shut right up. thats another one of the anuses of this world. on vadriven.com theres only 2 people that are respected for having an accord. one of the guys does high 13s and low 14s in the 1/4 and the others car just looks good. but as soon as i put my cb7 up there i get clowned for having it. and ive never been clowned(except for the other morning at work) about driving an accord by a domestic owner. every person who has clowned my car has been an import tuner who owned a civic, integra, STi, Evo, or some other more popular import.

but as soon as i posted a link and a pic to a cb7 that was pushing +600whp they start talking about "anyone can pour money into a car." bastards....

It's funny how people love to think that their cars are superior based only on the criteria that they hold to be of value.

Sure, raw power is nice. As is handling, and good fuel economy. Reliability is also great. Appearance, comfort, aftermarket, cost to buy, cost of ownership, towing capacity, storage capacity, seating capacity, number of gears, number of cylinders, amount of electronics, color, paint quality, drivetrain... etc... I could keep going.

There are so many factors that it's almost impossible to say which car is "best". Take any of the Italian supercars. Do you think any of them would make it to 250,000 miles? I SERIOUSLY doubt it. I remember reading something about Ferraris needing their engines rebuilt after every 20,000 miles (I can't find the source anymore, and I don't recall if it was even reliable... but it's at least something to go on!) They may be the greatest handling cars in the world. They may have exceptional craftsmanship and cutting edge technology. They may look amazing and be comfortable as hell. But compared to a Honda in the initial cost, cost of ownership, and even hp/$, the Honda wins. So which is better? It depends on what is important to you!

Honestly, an early 90's V8 Camaro or Firebird would probably be one of the best cars to own. They aren't terrible on gas, they have lots of power, they're comfortable, easy to repair, cheap to buy and own, they're reliable, they have a great aftermarket, they DO handle quite well (they're quite competitive in autocross, as are the late 80s models).
Gas mileage, reliability, and insurance costs are better for the Honda... which are really the only things that make that a better car for me.

i liek that Deev. that was a good response. some of those supercars suck on gas mileage too. less than like 15mpg. having to get it rebuilt every 20 or 30k miles? sike!! do you know what the cost would be?(then again if you own a supercar you have the money to get it fixed. lol) i wouldnt want one now. shoot. ill take my R34 GTR any day. lol.

it all boils down to just respect the other tuner. no matter what he drives. weither its a '90 accord coupe with altezzas and coilovers from ebay or the guy who got featured in Honda Tuning. some people just have their own styles. and you have to respect that. some people just dont have that type of maturity.
