360 or gamecube for my cb?

well guys, im seriously thinking about mounting a tv in my accord. my buds got one that he would sell me dirt cheap.

now i also have a xbox 360, and im winning the auction for a black gamecube on ebay.

so which should i put in my car?

KEEP IN MIND: they wouldnt be in there like permanently, ill be able to just disconnect them and bring em in the house to play inside to. AND ill be powering them off of a seperate battery, prolly a red top i dunno.

    wowwwwwww....

lol i remember when it was cool to have a video game in your car... too distracrting for me.

i had a flip out dvd in the stang, playing dvd's was badass. but that was it...

you should get the tv and run some engine diagnostics on it F&F style... not a video game lol...

i dunno that shit seems more like something that would go in a Denali not a slammed honda.

i mean i just want something sort of one of a kind, ya know?

i mean, i DEF hear where your coming from, its not a popular mod, but then again, my accord is some kind of different from the rest, so meh. how would i run diagnostics on the screen anyways?

dont expect to be able to take it from inside the car to inside your house....my buddy has an old school sega system in his lude. think of a power source theres no electrical outlets that supply the right voltage to the system in the car gotta rewire the power source.

engine diagnostic would be hard. im still trying to figure it out, not practical lol

but if you must get like a 75 watt power supply or more.

is it a touch screen, id get a laptop and just run Winamp and play mp3's through the stereo....

its a sweet mod! but you'll lose your system if you ever want to take it out of the car...unless you solder back on the power cord..

i got me a JDM sega genesis i want to put in mine...but im just to damn scared of breaking it

no not touch. im still working it all out.

the game system would obviously be the easiest route.

i wanna be able to watch dvds too, so im thinking 360 if i go that route.(game system route)

i could also just put a headunit in that plays dvds...

it would be neat to be able to monitor my motor, BUT i have nothing to monitor lol. F22a4 with bolt ons. (about to get some goodies tho...)

i dont understand you people saying you need to re-wire it and cut the power cords and stuff. Can't you just buy an inverter, hard wire that and then just unplug your system when you leave? Cuz thats what my firend does with his PS2, for over 3 years now. You don't need a huge one either, doesnt take alot of watts to power a game system.

And an inverter should only be about 30-50 bucks...depending on how much juice you need

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

I know that the ps1 and ps2 have power cords that run directly to the cigarette lighter than you can purchase. Having had a ps2 slim in my glovebox, I would be against the gamecube or the 360 due to their sizes. Where would you put either so that it was easily accessible? There is no good place sadly, as I tried to figure that out as well when I had tv's in my car(no mas there). Also, even running off of an inverter, you lose your place on the dvd each time, and with as expensive as 360's are and as prone as they are to overheating in the first place, I would advise against putting one in the car. Now, if you could mod an xbox and run xbmc from it and had a wireless controller or something, I would suggest doing that. It would be an all in one media center for your car, and if your cd player has an auxillary input, you could use it pretty much exclusively to run media in your car. Now, I dont know how much you know about doing that, but if you can, my suggestion is that, having dealt with modded xbox's as well as video game systems in a car before.
                        Hope this helps some.

Arent the PS2 slim's prone to overheating as well? I read somewhere theres no fan, although i dont know how true that is.

Put teh GC in the car. Take it apart, run the drive and everything somewhere custom, with the pop up lid on top of your center console or something, then extend the wires for the controller ports and run those somewhere else, like under the radio or something. Do something crazy like that.

With the 360's right now being a hot commodity i would be hesitant to have one in my car for very long. At least if the GC gets stolen it's only $100 for a used one from any GameStop.

ever since the new Mac Mini's came out Ive wanted to figure out a way to put one in my car. hook up a touch screen monitor, that would be pretty sick.

somewhat, but I never used mine for long periods of time, and even when I have, I have been fortunate to not have had that problem. Also, new gamecubes, well used gamecubes are down to like 60 now, so they are even easier to replace, although doing everything like you said would be some sweet custom work. xbox 180's are about 100 now as well, and are a good choice as well, as I stated previously.
