You're not JDM until you have a car built in ohio with tons of bolt ons from ebay.

There is no good place sadly, as I tried to figure that out as well when I had tv's in my car(no mas there). Also, even running off of an inverter, you lose your place on the dvd each time, and with as expensive as 360's are and as prone as they are to overheating in the first place, I would advise against putting one in the car. Now, if you could mod an xbox and run xbmc from it and had a wireless controller or something, I would suggest doing that. It would be an all in one media center for your car, and if your cd player has an auxillary input, you could use it pretty much exclusively to run media in your car. Now, I dont know how much you know about doing that, but if you can, my suggestion is that, having dealt with modded xbox's as well as video game systems in a car before.
      Hope this helps some.

i would put it in my trunk.

if thats the case, youd never be able to switch things out sans stopping and all. I personally dont think it is worth doing unless you get a modded xbox and run xbmc with a bigger hdd and your media stored on it, but thats just me. a 360 would hate the high temps in the trunk and not last very long either.

Looks like I'm the only one that says go with the Gamecube!

Honestly, the cube will be less attractive to thieves, and much cheaper to replace if it get stolen. It's also a good deal smaller than the 360, and can probably be mounted out of the way. It's a hardy system, and I don't think it'sever had problems with heat.

i remember the folks over at llamma.com made a slim xbox1, modded with a large hard drive and no dvd drive

but anyway the gamecube runs off of 12V. (car friendly) so ya don't need an inverter
