    didnt know THAT!

well...just yesterday. Me and my cuz headed out to the local salvage yard lookin for replacement parts for my front broken door handles, radiator fan, and visor thingies..they had all the parts except for the visors i needed. So i they decided to take me into the yard to search for some...
Well went to search the nearest broken accord and found a pair of faded pinkish or maroonish color that were a lil dirty. Figured HEY these connections are metal and not plastic like mine were. Got home and installed all parts.
After my my cuz and i were finish installing all parts..my cuz was lookin at the reciept and realized it read JHM in the vin# for those visors i pulled off from. The salvage yard was selling the accord for IDK how much though and mentioned they had just brought the accord there about 3 hours ago.........
    ........................................shit!

...at least i got JDM Visors! tahahaha

You're not JDM until you have a car built in ohio with tons of bolt ons from ebay.

if ur vin is JHM, that means your accord was BUILT in JAPAN. but it doesnt nessesarily (sp?) mean that your accord is JDM. many were BUILT in japan but shipped to america. some were built in america as well.

huh? lol im confused now....so, just cuz it says JHM on the vin# doesn't REALLY REALLY MEAN it's JDM??? i always thought it was. ...

update: Well i know the accord was made in Japan...so that doesn't necessarily mean ALL parts on that accord are JDM?? is that what you're sayin?...besides...this isn't my accord...this is that accord i took those visors from at the junkyard. THAT accord was JHM...mine for sure is just 1HM tahaha..but dammit! i swore my visor's were JDM! tahahaha DAMMIT!...o well it aint gonna add hp anyways tahaha..at least these are metal so they won't break off so easily like the other 3 times i've changed em.

no, that just means that it was BUILT in japan. plenty of people on here have fully USDM accords that were built in japan, but shipped to america.

                    lol, research.

theres PLENTY of information (as well as misinformation) about whats jdm and whats not on this site. wait for DV8 to come in here, i believe he knows alot about jdm vs. not jdm.

My VIN # starts with a "JHM", but doesn't mean the car is JDM. It just means it is more quality built than those starting with a "1"

I guess the easiest way to tell for you if the Accord is JDM is to look for right-hand steering.

to me, if it was made in japan, was built in the japanese air, had japanese mechines working on it, AND had a japanese person touch inspect or touch it after it was built before shipping then it JDM. lmao.

you can touch shadows. you ever try to jump on your shadow when you were little? did you succeed? no. didnt think so. the shadows cant be touched. lmao.

j/k. but its all good tho. i think its JDM. hey. it was made in japan right? a japanese part? why cant it be JDM? it was made with JDM parts. the only difference to me is that it was made to used by the americans. if it was made to be used by the japanese then the car would have had the driver side on the right hand side

JDM = Japanese Domestic Market. It means that's where it was sold, with options, features, and parts designed for use in Japan, on Japanese roads.

A Toyota Cavalier (which is, aside from some cosmetic differences) is 100% Chevrolet, built here (or Mexico... or wherever the hell Chevy built the Cavalier). It doesn't matter where it was built, but where it was sold. The Toyota Cavalier is JDM.

JHM means it was manufactured in Japan, and shipped here. 1HG means that the car was built in Ohio. People have claimed that the Japanese-made cars are better, but I think that's all in their heads... Unless, of course, you discovered that the US-made Accords have crappier visor connections... Then that is a concrete example of at least one minor way the JHM cars are better!

Take pics of the old and new, I wanna see what you're talking about! The we can have people check and see... it could be a JHM vs. 1HG difference, it could be a coupe vs. sedan difference, it could be a 90-91 vs. 92-93 difference, it could be an EX vs. LX vs. DX issue (nothing is an SE in this case, so that's out)

o well...in that case those visors were from an EX...the one with the wires for the light...but still, i guess i has mucho to learn....o.

                              and pics...might not work..2 reasons.
1 is because i dont have my old visors that broke off because it's been broken off for about 2 years tahahaha.
And 2 is because i dont currenly own a camera which is also why i haven't updated any pics on my accord...besides my myspace pics ..i'd upload those accord pics when i have more time on my hands...right now im at work taking calls so...no time there.
