I work for an Architectural firm.

I took 4 years in HS hand drafting and a little autocad work there. Went to ITT Tech, started working for an arch. firm after 4 months at school. Graduated with an Associates of Science degree in Computer Drafting & Design after 2 years. Ive learned more at work than at school... Right now, my position is a draftsman/job captain. Basically developing commercial building Construction Documents for submittal to the city...

3D is blowing up right now... still a lot of firms that dont use 3D what so ever...
    yea its all for presentation.

I was taking architecture this year in school....I had to stop after first semester cuz I couldnt afford it anymore....I was gonna go back but I recently got a good job in Edmonton so that ends my school career.

I never made anything that looked nearly as good as your stuff though.
thanks man, yea arch. school is soooo much $$$$

FormZ is pimp!! I got an Autodessys-FormZ calender up on my wall, shit's amazing! All look clean, good work.

I've never touched FormZ but was wondering how FormZ would perform as a Modeler? I use Solidworks for majority of my work, but FormZ looks so badass.
Are you running FromZ on ur mac?!??! or just Cs3?

cs3 and form z on my mac. it works pretty good as a modeler? are u looking for something to replace solidworks? because it is awesome to render in so maybe u could model in solidworks and use form z to render it all.

literally the shittiest modeler ever. designers dont use sketchup, retarded 50 year old architects who are still using autocad lt 2000 and are just now realizing that those boxes on their desks could be used to help them create stuff. Bottom line: you want to be the kid with a cb at the meet, use formz. If you want to roll up with a 1960s vw beetle use sketchup.

sorry sketch up just hits the wrong part of me

well i gave in and tried using sketch up today for my latest design of a library.

no where near the rendering capabilities i was used to with form z.
