I have a linksys wrt54g hooked up for my wireless network at home for the laptops and wireless printing. The desktop is connected to one of the 4 ports on the back of the router.
The internet to the desktop will go down and not work, but will work if I connect the modem directly to the modem, same is I connect the laptop to the modem. Or If I leave everything normal, the laptops will get internet through the wireless router, but the desktop connected to the router will not.
I am stumped. At first I thought it might be the ethernet card on the desktop, so I went and bought a newone and its been doing the same thing.
I havent called linksys, because I hate their customer service, ITs very hard to understand people from india.
Any help from you guys will be helpful. Thanks
*edit*
The computer is less than a year old, and when the laptop doesnt connect to the internet, the networking computers will have an exclamation mark with a yellow triangle on them saying "identifying network"
Oh and I have windows vista...
