its alright. my dad has a 2 ton that he bought for like 100 bucks. but dont lift something over the weight limit, or you'll bend the bar. and trust me that bar bends.

I have the exact hoist, along with the $30 2-ton load leveler, and I used it to pull my F22A and drop the H22A in (and both engines were loaded on and taken off trucks like 3 times each, all using the same hoist and load leveler). Also my friend just used it to pull the D15 out of his 91 civic. Its definitely a great investment, and if you rent it to people (who use it to pull small honda engines - ie not putting much stress on it), you can earn some of it back...but all in all its a good hoist!

PS Im not sure how far up in Jersey you are, but there is a Harbor Freight in Newark, DE (no sales tax at all, just the $3 toll to cross the delaware memorial and gas), its like 15 minutes south of the bridge.

Thanks man. I'm not too far from DE... Probably just as far from Newark as I am from Vineland I'm a few minutes east of Philly.

I have this really weird aversion to tolls, though. I don't know why. I'll take more time, and drive further, to avoid paying for a toll. I hate paying to drive on roads that I already pay for with my taxes (I know bridges are different... but still... ) I think it all stems from having a barely-working driver's side window!

Yeah, I'll probably grab one of those as well. The price I plan on paying is NEVER what I end up spending!

Do you have a schucks/kragens/checkers? They sell hoists. I have one of them along with the engine stand. It works fine.

It might fit if you take out your back part of the rear seat as well as your passenger seat. Put it in through the trunk and slide it all the way in.
Yeah, I have this one too, the hoist works really well. Its an orange one right? Well, orange and black

Deev, before you go buying it, search slickdeals.net or google for a coupon for HF. You can find some for 20% off.. I did it with the PRess I got from them for the bushings.. So far its payed for it self after 2 jobs..

Pepboys normally have them on sale for $119. Same quality as the HF ones. I have the pepboys one and it works as its suppose to and no problems.

Everyone keeps telling me to go to Pep Boys. I had a guy on Craigslist tell me they were on sale for $65! I keep going, and they keep telling me $140 is the cheapest they have

I'll definitely have to check sickdeals.com. Thanks Juan! I hope any coupons work for in-store purchases as well as online orders!
