we're gonna pick up a 40" sony bravia, ive already set one of those up at the USA Today business in SF so i already know how well they perform

I got a 46" Samsung LCD for Xmas...
U really need high def programming to fully enjoy it. Be prepared to buy a step up DVD player and pay for HD progrmming to make the most of it...
Also if the store tells you to buy a $100 cable ejaculate on their faces. Get a composite cable set or buy a $6 HDMI cable on Ebay.
Other than that you should be good to go. I wanna get another flat screen for my computer in my room, but that's for later.
