prolly in the summer. track days get pretty pricey. still gotta buy my own full suit and race boots (even though you can rent them, i prefer not to rent). Need new tires and get it tuned. The bike is lowered by the previous owner and its not good for track, but good for commuting. I plan on raising the bike up later down the line. I might also pick up another bike at the end of the year to build as a race bike just for track only events if i dont buy a new car.

Everyone I know whose done a track day loves it. Plus I think you are near some good tracks so it would be worth it. I would love to live in the Bay just to be close to Laguna Seca and Infineon. Plus you have all that bike... might as well use it.

awesome choice! r6 was the original bike i wanted but i couldnt find one for the price range i was looking for. i ended up finding a good deal on my gixxer. so far i had no complaints about the bike and choice. Plus i think the k6-k7 gixxers were the best looking ones. the k12-k13 gixxers are soo fuckin ugly.

the candy red 2011 r6s are amazing looking. i still want one.

Open track days don't occur often at Laguna Seca or Infineon (for cars at least). It is usually just private events.

Nice K7, I have been trying to pick up a K8 GSX-R600 myself which personally I think is the best looking Gixxer.

It is basically the same color as yours also, a satin black and it is gloss black as well.
