Nah in all seriousness though, I have a weak spot for the first gen DSMs especially the Talon TSi Id love to find a black and white on though those color combos are sick.

man i just saw one of those at the salvage yard the other day. turbo. but the turbo was gone tho. had like a 3" exhaust tho. i should have grabbed that turbo mani and held it for my project nice tho. drop it and get a paint job and youll be ok

Looks alright, needs paint You didnt rebuild the block too? And for your future mods... make sure you do things like wheels/tires, brakes, and suspension before you start to chase power, you'll thank me.

i dont know why you changed to the 2g manifold. most of the 1g parts were better.

my homie has a 2g dsm and hes switched his turbo manifold/throttle body/and turbine to the 1g. pulls a lot better.

i still hate working on dsms though. engine is too sensitive when it comes to problems. Other then that they look like nice cars.

funny you should say that. my crank pulley took a dump on friday.. the inner part seperated from the outer part because it has a rubber seal that deteriorates over time, a common issue with the 4g63. what a wonderful sound it made when i started my car, lol.

its time like these i'm glad i know the head mechanic at mitsubishi... parts at cost +5% !!

Dv8 - I didn't rebuild block since thats the way I got it. I know it needs paint, but thats a little least of my worries.

owequitit - The only reason why they are hard to keep running is a lot of people don't know what there doing. Have to do upgrades in steps, and no half ass jobs and keeping up on maintenance. Then all is good.

GHOST 2.2 - The reason why I changed to a 2g manifold is because they are a lot better than the junk ass 1g's. Less prone to crack, better flow, and a simple upgrade for the 1g. Everything else is stock 1g parts, so thats all good!

No I bought a stock DSM with a blown turbo for a project. I don't see why everyone downs these cars. I've only had a couple of problems and they were minor. The motor puts out 150 across the board which is near perfect for these cars. It drives, shifts smoothely, and IS RELIABLE.
