    ob2 96 prelude with ob1 jdm doch f22b

    like the title says

where trying to get a 96 prelude S 5spd to run with our jdm f22b doch.
note that both this new 96 prelude s and the 93 Si prelude auto we pulled this jdm motor worked and ran just fine. I myself have 93 prelude Si h23a1 so there is no shortage of parts
    what going on:

    no spark

what I've gone over and checked.
all grounds are back in there proper place
    ecu fuse, IG fuse,
    replace main relay
    changed coils
used the dizzy from the f22b on my 93 prelude (h23a1) and it worked started
    just fine.
made sure that the dizzy was not 180 off
checked tdc on piston #1 and rotor was on spark plug #1
checked all connections to dizzy and coil
only thing that we could put on at the moment was the MAP sensor because
the TB does not support it.

we never removed the ecu or changed it cause the p39 we have is auto ob1
    ecu.

What I've read is that most just change out the dizzy and coil and where good and on there way or just replace the obd2 harness with the ob1 harness. Is there anything we could of missed, we drove down to Rywire
Wednesday to have them make a custom harness for the dizzy and installed it. could the harness we got not be appropriately wired for are setup?

Any and all help is really appreciated

      Jerry right
you helped me when I was in missouri

its an 8pin that plugs into the dizzy plug and then splits into (2) 4pin plugs, one goes into the dizzy side and one the other one gets plugged into where the crank wire would be coming out of the old f22a1 on motor.

Did you convert this car to an OBD I or is still and OBD II??

OBD II Hondas have a Crank Position Sensor located near the crank pulley. Without it the car would not run, as far as your no spark problem..check the Ignition control module.

yes its still OBDII and the crank position sensor is not on f22b but the engine harness still has the plug for the crank position sensor and is plugged in with the custom
harness that we got from Rywire

Ignition control module works because we tested the dizzy on my 93 prelude and fired right up

I circled the part of the jumper harness that plugs in to the engine
harness, this is the plug that is suppose to be connected to the
connector at the bottom of the engine where the crank pulley is.

pic of harness not plugged and plugged in to the dizzy

Are you running an internal coil dizzy? The plug by your thumb in this picture is for an external coil, if it isn't plugged in or retro fitted to run an internal coil, there is your problem.

yeah its external coil and we switched coils and no spark, changed dizzy's and no spark and both the coil and dizzy work on my prelude thats external coil with out a hitch.

starting to think I might go back to Rywire and see what they
say but if anyone thats had this problem please help. thanks guys
