cb7 vs. 3000GT???

do you think i could beat a 3000GT non turbo, just a plain old V6 with a gheto made intake. this 16 year old kid got his parents to buy him one and now he "swears to god he can beat my piece of shit CB7". ive done all the bolt on's you can to my cb7 (cold air,header, full exhaust, f22a6 intake / cam and ecu) so i think i can get him. and hes a shitty driver.

If you got a 5spd and his dumb ass got an auto youll fry him but if he has a 5spd he might keep up..i think it might be a good one...but mind you when it comes to all this racing shit im usually off cuz im not well trained in it and still learning but i know 5spd owns so...try and get some video of da kill!

Edit-sorry i was just going to add that even tho i will not argue the sexyness of the JDM one peice headlights and the OEM 2 peice black housed and yellowed with amber corners i have to say that those projectors(i have the same) are fuckin sexy...they just give it an agressive look...the 1 and 2 peices just give it a clean sexy stock look but i really dig the projectors!

no. comparing my dads 3000GT SL (non-turbo) to my CB7, the GT is WAY faster. Of course, your car has lots more done to it then my car, so there is a chance you would win, but in my honest opinion, no.

No you won't be able to take him at all. I had a buddy who had the sohc 6, they are still boasting 220 hp out of them sohc the dohc 6's are hitting round 260 and the wr4 boast 360 respectively. But what I'm getting at is my Talon TSI back when it was stock, no turbo mods or anything the sohc held it's own against me.

I think you would lose. You've gotta understand that Honda's aren't the fastest cars, even with minor mods. And if thats why your driving one, then you should get a different car. But thats not to say that they don't have potential, cause they do! In my opinion its just the best all around. Unless he's a REALLY bad driver. But if you're like "okay lets race i can take the POS" and lose. He will never shut up about how Hondas are slow and that one time he beat you. You're better off saying no, putting more work into your car then laying a whoop down

yeah mine is a 5 speed and so is his but he honestly cant drive/shift for shit. i might just race him cause i raced my friends V6 6-speed solara earlier and it has a weapon R intake on it and i got him by about 3 lengths. but anyways the kid always grinds the gears got bald tires and other shit i just want to shut him up and put another V6 to shame.

A true sports car (altho FWD) vs. a Honda Accord. I don't like your chances. Even with your bolt-ons (reminds me of my high school days). The SL is a nasty contender in its own right. With its aggressive gearing and brute 6G72 (or some shit) its no slouch. They run 15s easily. Now if your F22x can do that, you have a chance. Also I/E on a SL make that car fucking nuts. Its like the SL breathes through straws!

Theoretical Threads suck...On the other hand my buddies 97 Max with CAI, Exhaust, on 18s with 4 people beat a 3000gt. Surprised the hell out of us and yes the other 3000gt was an auto.

ur numbers are way off. its 170 for the sohc, 220 for the dohc, and between 300 and 320 for the tt version.
