kept up with a H22 lude

H22 not worth it...i have a f22a6 with SRI, axle-bak exhaust, and a short shifter and i kpt up with a 98 lude..

my buddy is out here from vegas for a couple of days and me(cb7) him(lude) and my other budy (impereza) were mobing to a party. i always wanted to race a lude just to see what all the hype about the H22 was really all about. i was expecting him to pull really hard, but he didnt. we ran from a roll and it was neck and neck through 2nd gear then the begining of 3rd gear. top of 3rd he started to creep a little then 4th he creeped a little more. he beat me by less than half a car. so fuck swappig im boosting!

Sounds like he needs a driver mod. Fifth gens arent that amazing anyway. Plus its a heavier body. And if it was an auto they run like 16.5 which isnt fast at all.

Haha yeah those 5th gen ludes are slow, i always beat them in my H22 accord. My H22 accord can do 0-60 mph in 6 secs. and my only mods is Intake and Exhaust.

props on wanting to go boost... you do that because my h22a high comp motor will still beat your boosted f22 that won't make near the power i am pushing. obviosly the weight of his car had a delima,, and the generation is also a porly made h22,, plus who knows what ecu it has in it, or what done to the motor...vtec is picky about needing to breath more so than the f22....
i know for a fact he had problems because my 5 spd accord with the head shaved .042 ,, mild port job adjustable cam gear evo 2 exhaust dc sport headers aem intake 272 regrind camshaft h23 intake and throttle body still couldn't keep up with my automatic h22.. yeah it feels fast as hell.. because of the ungodly amount of torque,, but torque isn't horse power and with a large amount of horses the torque doesn't do any good,,, i dynoed my 5 spd at 172 hp to the wheels. ohh whatchout i might be letting go of this head

And saying an h22 is not worth it? Race an h22 cb7 with a tuned ecu, i/h/e and believe me you wont have a chance. My 1/4 mile times dropped 2 sec with an h22

When I was at the track a while back, there was a 5spd 5th gen Prelude running 16.5s all night. I didnt know the driver mod made that much of a difference.

I cant think of any reason for an H22 Prelude to run that slow unless the driver was half asleep.
