Hardly someone that stopped maintaining his engine, if you ask me.

That is basically what I was trying to say.

His car RUNS fine. But with a stripped plug, it was having some issues.

Even people who maintain the car perfectly can have this problem.

All that's required is overtightening of the plug.

        Yes, overtightening is bad.

But when the torque spec is 16 lb/ft, it doesn't take a lot to exceed that, not by hand, and certainly not with a large enough tool.

And he overtightened them trying to clock the plugs.

        Besides, it is moot.

The accusation was that it "blew up" due to a LACK of maintenance, which is completely incorrect.

I own a 5th gen Lude and I love it!! I had an cb7 with the jdm f22b dohc swapped into it with i/h/e, ignition, and fuel upgrades, and it's not nearly as fast as my BB6, and all I have on my Lude is an Intake, and ported intake manifold. I took a 1st gen Tsi on the highway the other night. Beat him by a car and a half. Thats Vtec for ya.

on one side, iv been through the "stock internals" F22 boost game. it was fun, fantastic, and I loved every minute of it. I would recommend it to anyone who has half a brain and is willing to learn something. I have to side with Joser on this one, 99% of the "failed" boosted F22s have been due to something other than boost! let it be oil, improper tuning, whatever. Very few (if any?) have failed because the internals couldn't hold the power.

Then, as fate would have it, sometime in May 06, i found my self in a N/A DOHC VTEC powered car. The b18c1 was a fun engine, even though I only had a week with it. Then, somehow, i fell into a pile of shit, and came out smelling like a JDM b18c Type R motor. Thats when i finally figured out what all the hype was about. The N/A high compression VTEC experience is fantastic as well. its nice to have an essentially "stock" car that can hold its own against most mildly modded tuner cars and is FUN AS FUCK to drive. I do miss my lower end torque sometimes though. Of course, i DONT miss my 6400rpm redline.

So which side of the fence would i fall on these days? it depends which way the wind is blowing really. Both style of engine have their pros and cons. I loved my boost then, but i love revving now. If you really want a fun car, get both.

One conclusion i will make from my past experience though, is that the accord will NEVER hold a candle to the balance of the Integra. Ask AccordWarrior
I WILL HAVE TO AGREE WITH ALOT...
ESPECIALLY THE HANDLING, I DUNO WHY IT'S DIFFENT IN THE ACCORD, BUT EVEN WITH ALL UPGRADED STUFF IT'S NOT NEAR AS NIMBLE AS THE INTEGRA..
ALTHOUGH MINE IS A 4 DOOR.
