sorry man, i wish i had knowledge of that area, so i could send you to a good reputable place..
go on the internet, and look up whats closest to your area code,
then personally visit the shops, ask to have a tour of the place because you looking to have work done and would like to see the facility that it would be done at.
we have people do that all the time.
things to look for.
a verry clean shop.
Employe's actually working and not standing around.
a down draft paint booth such as Garmat
new parts laying in the parts bin, this shows that they don't just fill everything with Goldrage plastic filler.
you'll want to look at some of the finished painted cars that are waiting to go to detial,
you'll also wana take a look at the cars that have been through the detail line.
and the shop shouldn't charge you more than $38-$40 an hour. plus parts. Remember all the parts sold at a body shop have a 25%- 30% mark up plus labor.
i would help you out, my high school has a full auto/ paint shop, but we only have a week left in school , all of our customers only pay material with a 30 % discount and there is no body hours charge
but i personally would never suggest anyone who really cares about the quality of their car, take it to a highschool or even a car repair college.. i have seen so many butcher jobs that will last a couple months... but thats it.. they don't have a life time guarentee.
most reputable body shops including my side work, won't paint over something you have done, as then their name will be associated with your body work ,... and thats not something we care to much for, a maco is about your best option after you get the car straight.

if your not trying to be rude , then there is no need to post that,
-all of our work here is inspected by our instructors. our teacher is all about safety and quality. i have done numerous projects to close friends/ neighbors and customers, they all love the work put in. and if there happens to be a mistake o an imperfection in a 8 month time , we repair it
- we arn't that cheesy class were the kids uses shortcuts to finish a job

ok.. since you took it personal.. it's to late.. i was rude.
Their are exceptions and i am in no place to know rather your place of repair is one of those exceptions.
so to be bluntly rude, Every single place of highschool work i have ever saw, "and that would be a ton", has had some of the choppiest work i have ever seen.
This isn't uncommon as thats why your in that class to learn. If you honestly believe that ya'll have all the answers and do perfect work.. lol... that will never be the case..their is no such thing as a flawless job.
And just because you have someone looking at your work when it's completed doesn't mean much either...
We have a college call NADC Nashville Auto Diesel College, and it also has a paint and body program. a 2 year class.
it too is a joke.
the only people you should ever trust with a vehicle is a ICAR Certified Technician
Example i have over 800 hrs of ICAR training with a Gold certificate, the highest a single person can achieve,, with a PPG certified Training Course, as well as a Nexa Certification.
When you go to a shop ask if the shop is a ICAR Platinum Certified shop, if it is, that means every employee is a Gold ICAR Technician.
damn Keeles.... i need to just drop my car off with you and let you do your magic... but it would just have to be very simple !!

when I say body work I mean replacing panels like new hood, fenders, front bumper ect.. Thats all that i have done so far...I have pathed a couple holes on the trunk lid from some mexican wing that was on there (lol) and I shaved the anntina..
What I really need is the final body prep, primer, and paint....I'm making it EASY for them !!!!
