MagnaFlow 3 in. tip

Today, I went to a ghetto area in the bay area, near RWC. I found a place that was selling cheap mufflers so i was thinking about checking it out. I walk in and the guy had a variety of choices. I was looking at a straight pipe 2 1/2 inch chrome one. But when I put it on it looked really stock. This guy sells and welds on all tips for $25, and mufflers for about 50-100. I thought it was pretty cheap. Then I saw this magna flow 3 inch tip for $45 it includes installation and such. Is that a pretty good deal?? or what??

by the way I'm talking about tips not mufflers, and all stainless steals were $45 and all chromed tips are $25

Considering I bought my Magnaflow Muffler for $65...seems a bit much. Look on ebay and you can find them much cheaper.

Yeah those tips are steep.

Just save up and get a magnaflow muffler , you will be happy about it.

My setup will own all... or id like to think so.
2 1/4 inch piping custom made (myself)
2 resonators (15 inch, located right after the cat, and the first bend)
1 Walker Dynomax 2 1/4 inlet and outlet.
The one thing i'm looking at is replacing my cat... i dunno if i should i know its the OEM one, and its pretty much done....
Dont cheap out, get a nice system man.

ya. i was jus thinking about just buying a tip, because i dont really want it to be loud

Magnaflows are not loud at all on a stock piping.

Use to run on a stock pipe , it got louder when I upgraded to a custom 2.25 inch piping.

It will be louder than stock but unlike those "your everyday rice farts" muffler.

Just the tip wont make a difference in sound

45 is high but it magnaflow... get the muffler @ the shop & get a tip from auto zone... better ye get a magnaflow muffler off ebay like i did.

here's what a magnaflow 14816 muffler looks like, its got dual 3.5 in. tips. it fits inside that little cutout too.


I can see the tips now

sits a little bit lower so it won't melt my bumper and paint in the summer time.

No. I think if you check EB and other places you can find full stainless good quality ones for quite a bit less.

I know your not looking for one like this but just an idea of what can be found.

Got this OBX duel 3" tips for less than $60 shipped.

The muffler is only 20-30 dollars more...Just go for that shiz...

yea i guess it might be a better idea to jus get the muffler. did anyone on here diy their muffler?

Either you weld it or clamp it. Better to get it done in a shop.
