ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

If you do it do it as good as possible. The more time you spend preping the better it wil look(actually the better the prep, anyone can spend a long time preping a car for paint and it still suck). Make sure to clean and sand it to make sure the paint will adhear good. Just make sure to tape off everything nad use a good quailty paint. The dupliolor import paint woud be my pick, you can get an exact match to stock with it.

I would try the Dplicolr paint shop before I did a roller paint job. Thats just me though I'm picky when it comes to doing stuff on my car. If you do a roller paint job remember the better the prep the better the outcome.

Because for now it's cheaper and still, if done correctly, will look good.
I know they've already said it but PREP IS EVERYTHING!!!! Take your time.

I painted mine with a roller and it turned out pretty decent looking. It only cost me like $60 to do it. Take your time painting it and the prep is cake with a roll on paint job. No overspray to worry about, plus you can do this in a parking lot with other cars sitting right beside yours...lol. Just sand the car, tape up the moldings around the windows and paint it, just be careful to not get paint on the windows and stuff. Trust me, this is a very easy, one day, paintjob....and it's cheap. It's by no means perfect, but this is the before and after pics of my car from when I got it.....

Notice the VERY UGLY grey primer that was on the car when I got it....

$60 later and one day worth of work......you tell me if it's worth it to you....IMO, yes.

BTW, I haven't finished the black on my moldings yet cause it's too cold outside to paint right now.

This is literally all I taped up on mine, just around anything important that doesn't need to get paint on it...lol.

BTW, I know I got paint all over the mudflap, but I'm gonna repaint them black when I finish doing the moldings. I haven't even wetsanded it yet, this is literally, just paint rolled on the car and it already has waaaaay more shine than spraypaint does. If your broke like me, then sometimes it pays to cheap out until you can get a real paintjob. This will DEFINATELY hold me over until I do all my body work and have the car professionally painted. Give it a shot man. I'm happy with mine and it's not even done yet.
