ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Squeaky Suspension?

    Squeaky Suspension?

My car is lowered on Neuspeeds and Tokico Blues
I have had them on there for quite a while now and have had no problems.

However, when I go over bumps, I hear a squeaky noise coming from around the front suspension area. What is that caused from? Is it possibly alerting me to a problem? Or just caused from the springs bouncing around under there?

You see models at every car show.
But have you ever seen a model that actually takes the car she built to a show?

wd40 your sway bar bushings ( ALL OF THEM ) LCA bushings and UCA bushings. if ur looking for a quick fix. other suggestion would be to get some synthetic grease and jizz some of that on your bushings. this solved my problems. it takes about 3 applications of wd40 over a couple of weeks for it to completely go away but after the grease i havent heard a peep

I had that problem on my civic. It was the upper ball joint. Might wanna inspect that.

        Lol, jizz...

Maybe your suspension is squeaky clean ?

Anyways, I used all purpose grease when I installed my bushing and ball-joints, helps a bunch.

Grease your bushings, make sure your ball joints aren't in poor condition, and make sure your shocks aren't blown. Just because they're new doesn't mean you didn't smack something just right and blow one... but you'd probably notice that in the way the car drives as well (not always... some people are clueless... but it was frighteningly obvious when I did it!)

usually a loud squeaking will come from a ball joint with little lubrication.

Solution, new ball joint. Usually, it is the lower ball joints that tend to squeak.

If it IS a ball joint, replace it immediately. A broken ball joint can result in a fatal crash.
