Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    has anybody taken there airbag wheel off?

    has anybody taken it off and has put a quick release steering wheel?
    i got my car recently stolen.....
    fixing it up...and will be back on the rd soon...

    i was just curious has anybody done it?

    i kinda wanna do it...but in the other hand it has a airbag...it can save my life one day...

    but quick release would come in handy also...

          ^^^Nice write-up. However, I'm not sure why your turn signals don't cancel any more...mine work just fine. I also just removed my steering wheel/airbag, and installed a NRG wheel and quick release hub. I removed my entire srs system, module, wires, etc. I have no lights on in my cluster.

            i dont like seing a freaking srs light on my dash...
            hate seing those dum lights!

              I had a quick release in my EM1 and I never regretted putting it in there. I understand that I lost my airbag, but I also had peace of mind knowing that my car would still be in my driveway the next morning. As for the SRS light it is up to you, you can always remove the light so you don't have to see it. If you do decide to do the quick release I highly recommend spending the extra money for the hub lock because nowadays thieves just roll around with an extra steering wheel to slap into your car.

                hey bro i have one on mine, my set is nrg short hub, cheap quick release and a momo steering wheel. all the turn signal lights work, its just the horn. but my suggestion is to get everythin nrg and get the actual lock when u take off the steering wheel. ill see if i could post pics.

                        Im gonna be doing this soon...I dont think you should worry about the airbag too much, our cars are around 20 years old...who knows if our airbags would even deploy anymore

                        dont take my word for it though, you still need to be safe when removing the airbag...

                          Well I would like to know how wherm got rid of everything. Do you have a write up on this? Cause I swapped my wheel for a 90-91 and my turn signals dont cancel

                          And as far as safety with our air bags, I am 6'2" when I had my first CB I was shorter than that, maybe 5'11" 6' I got into a car accident and the airbag deployed, IT DIDNT EVEN TOUCH ME

                            i love the idea, im actually saving up for a key's racing steering wheel. plus the secuirity, and it looks baller!!
