ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Blackhoused my lights

Mmmkay, so like a lemming, I followed along what all the cool cats are doing these days and blackhoused my lights.

Very simple project to do. However, in the process, I managed to stab my hand with a screwdriver, bleed all over the place and then fail painting them twice with major runs and ugliness. 3rd time for paint was the charm, but after sealing them and installing them on the car, they had already begun to fog up a little.

I had used some marine grade clear silicone. Puts lots around where the original sealant had been and then ran another bead around the outside. Thought I sealed them pretty damn good, but turns out I just did a GM headlight sealing job.

Anyways, other than the minor fogging, I think they came out looking pretty badass and suit the solaris silver quite well. While I was at it, I also disabed my Daytime Running Lights.

And for those of you who don't like blood and guts, completely skip the last photo.

    Before:

    After:

The fog has cleared up a bit since the photos were taken this morning, but I'll probably reseal them anyways.

Okay, look away if you're squeemish (sp?)

Mmmmm, hand stabbage. The web of my hand looks like a menstruating vagina.

haha. It's actually a large hole in the web between the thumb and finger. If I hold my thumb out, it's actually a large gaping hole and now looks like a hand vagina.

Is it possible they are just fogged up because they were inside (presumably) where it is warm, and when you installed them it was cold?

          Condensation.

I betcha thats why they fogged up like that.

Good point. However I did seal them in the garage where it wasn't much warmer than outside. I sealed one lastnight around 11pm and sealed the other this morning around 10am and installed them around 11am today. It's about +2c here.

Oh yeah, next mod will be 6000k HIDs. Might just get some 3000k halogens for the high beams.

Then after that, I save up about $600 to have my LX bumper, replacement rear door and my driver's side fender painted. Then no more damage!

Nevermind then, they probably wouldn't fog up that much in that case.

I've got 4300k low beams in mine, they are awesome.. had them for about a week. So white, its great. Unfortunately, I got rear-ended in London on Friday, and I'm pretty sure the accord will be a write-off. Which sucks.

ah fail man that sucks. I have a whole parts car if you need anything! I've got a complete rear bumper, tail lights, trunk lid and everything.

The whole car is like 2 in shorter than it used to be. Trunk/bumper pushed in, cant open the rear doors, nice crease right where the roof meets the trunk.

Still driveable though, the alignment isnt even off. If you come across a rust-free shell I might be interested though.

ah that bad eh? Man that sucks. We have a fairly decent 93 EXR in the yard here, $300 takes the whole thing, but the quarters have been repaired and still looking a little soft. Otherwise it was a nice clean car.

Yeah, thats the thing. Finding one without the rear quarter problem will be tough.

Oh well, I'm lucky because the car is still drivable, and I wasn't hurt at all (back/neck a bit stiff, but thats all).

                        Next project....

I think I'm probably going to keep the corners clear. I could shoot em with Niteshades first to get an idea of how they'd look.
