ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

ive learned that the ebay rule is ok if your showing what your talking about and i cant really think of to many people who would flock over these things.
I have a set of DropZone coilovers im going to install this weekend along with a set of KYB AGX adjustable shocks. If your going to get a set of coilovers. Get something worth paying for. Ebay coilovers arn't what you want.

ebay coilovers like that usually are the same exact spring for many different applications. Therefore the spring rates for their springs are like 500 a piece. your ride will be all over the place and your stock struts will last maybe 30 mins.

"Stock struts will last 30 minutes"
Give me a break!!!!!!!!!!!!! My girl and I rode on shitty coilover sleeves on stock struts with around 160k miles on them for 3 freaking years. It took 2 of those years before the struts were completely gone! 30 minutes.... please, stop exagerating.
1) The coilover sleeves you pictured are shit... make no mistake. They will bounce, no matter what you do... but you can make it a little better by getting good struts. Your strut warranty will be void though so keep that in mind. But like I said, they WILL bounce.
2) Your car will not be "all over the road". See above comment for clarification
3) The top hats (centering caps) on cheap coilover sleeves are usually plastic. If you get one that has aluminum top hats, you're gold..... BUT that would be in a perfect society which we are not. The plastic hats WILL bind inside your strut mount at the top of your suspension setup. This isn't a big deal but It pretty much kills the point of having a top hat. As stated, try to get one with a aluminum top hat.
4) DO NOT roll these all the way down unless you carry BC powders in your car. You WILL get a headache from all the bouncing.
5) I run cheap coilover sleeves
6) If you want to buy aluminum top hats for sleeves that come with plastic ones, they're going to run you $40 a piece from Skunk2. I don't know if they fit but I know that Skunk2 will sell them to you. Just tell them you bought some Skunk2 coilovers used and they didn't come with them.Last edited by Big Body LX; 05-16-2006, 08:53 AM.
